designed by northrop and almost never made it into production and was called "unconventional styling" yet I agree. still a beautiful aircraft.

Landed like a true naval aviator. No flare, smack that baby on the ground like you would on a carrier.

They say it's just a natural reaction for Naval aviators. One former aviator said, his first landing as a commercial pilot was like that, and an old vet walked up to him before exiting the plane and said, "I bet you were in the Navy."

I notice the weapons loads of growlers are different from the hornets. I know they play different roles with the growler primarily being electronic attack.

Growler only carry two Air to air missile and two anti radiation missile or conventional guided bombs Becoz it's main role is to jam the enemy radar and air defence system... For that it have three big jammer pods

It's all about an aircrafts role and dog fights are not likely with modern planes, though not having a gun and somehow needing it would suck. EW is not fair, I am in my mig flanker, and my radar won't lock, my head set scatters at this point I am lost--thats why the growlers are impressive it's like jabbing in boxing just to line up a knock out, or splash.

Some planes are built to be so quiet the enemy never notices them. Others, like the growler, try to be so damn loud that the enemy can’t hear anything at all. I find the second type to be way more metal!

Growlers have pods on the wingtips, thats the giveaway. They also dont have a gun in the nose, but thats harder to see.

The growlers also have more blended leading edges between the inner wing and the outer wing (separated by fold point)
