Before steichen took over play calling in 2021 , we were 2-5 with Sirianni calling plays.. this feels the same as that team, including how hurts looks..he is suffering at Nick's hands.

I'd be interested in whether you've asked yourself why you didn't notice they were lucky. I'm not trying to play gotcha. And while I thought they were lucky, and are bad now, it's not like I couldn't have been wrong. One thing I saw on RU-vid gave me some evidence I wasn't crazy. Someone presented the data for other teams with the same record that won a Super Bowl. Every team but the Eagles had lots of blowouts. That made it seem like the Eagles were flipping coins. Most worrying is the trend. It's better to have wins in December than September. And they are seemingly getting worse. And no one seems to know why. It's a hard problem.

The Eagles started the 1981 season 6-0, finished 10-6 and lost 27-21 in the NFC Wild-Card Game to the N.Y. Giants. It was the start of the Eagles decline in the 1980's in which they didn't make the playoffs until 1988.

Yeah, bringing in Patricia to fix the Defense is laughable... The Eagles must have felt they owed Patricia a job for allowing Nick Foles to look better than Tom Brady in the SB. Patricia's a joke and Siriani's always been riding the coattails of good Co-ordinators and a great roster. They were lucky to be 10-1 so were always gonna start losing games at some point. Although they should've been getting better as Jalen Hurts has started to look less gimpy....But AJ Browns numbers have gone down.... And the Defense is terrible especially considering all the big names. The DB's been bad all year, but for them not to be able to stop the run against Arizona is alarming.

We all see Brian Johnson calling a terrible second half of a football team. Nick sticking with Brian’s plan is terrible. That’s just how I feel about it. When you can’t keep the offense on the field and close out a game. It’s gross.

The bad tackling tell me they are not committed. Tackling someone is easy when you are fully committed with good technique, it can be aggressive and has very little impact on the body of the tackler. Not fully committed makes it harder, prone to injury and it hurts more if you don't immediately put the runner down in the tackle.

The future will be HC’s that call plays. Otherwise you run the risk of getting your good OC’s poached for HC’s jobs and the team is left holding the bag hoping to hit gold again with another OC. Shanahan is a perfect example.

Im actually not even that mad at the offense. Stupid playcalls at the end there but they barely had the ball. This is the worst defense I've ever seen though. That's the whole thing. If they were even just a below average defense we would be OK but they are atrocious.

Dan Sileo reported 3 weeks ago that Frank Reich told him....that Howies and the analytics team dictates the game plan to the coaches....and the coaches go from there.....its the only thing that explains the total lack of football fundamentals in the game plan. I'm not Evan seeing adjustments ...and total lack of practice...with two linebackers in one gap

They got super lucky to beat Washington, Dallas, KC, and Buffalo. The luck ran out and here we are. They were winning on pure talent and luck. The coaching has been awful all season. Now the players have given up.

All these top picks and tons of money put into the defensive line, and they’re pretty much nonexistent… can’t rush the quarterback and can’t stop the run. Maybe put some value in getting decent linebackers next year. Middle of the field is constantly wide open.

Crazy that everybody complained about Wentz' leadership skills and now a team led by Hurts has one of the biggest implosions we've seen in the last 2 decades. Just shows that the whole "intangibles" thing is overblown. Wentz being a bad leader and Hurts being an amazing leader don't mean that much. When things are bad nothing can make it stop getting worse.

Thank you for ALL your videos. I appreciate them. All year it has been building up to this. Every week "we have things to clean up".. NOTHING got cleaned up or fixed. The sadness I feel for the players is overwhelming. It seems they played for one quarter and then just stopped playing and this has been all year. No One is buying Nick's BS at this point

Rex Ryan just said this morning that they need to stop hiring minor league coaches and and said front office is scared of hiring experience coaching. And Dan asked who calling plays is it siriannia or Johnson. And then they brung up the qb run, qb run, timeout them wr screen as giving up and settling. Only 1 play went to aj after 2nd half. Go watch it at get up, same shi we been saying all year about the coaches, even the national media knows what’s going.

This post isn’t specific to today’s game, but this all goes back to Sirianni. The HEAD COACH needs to be the offensive guru, not the OC. Otherwise, you are on borrowed time before another team poaches the OC (Reich, Steichen). If you want sustained offensive production over multiple seasons, it needs to be the head coach (Shanahan, Reid, Taylor, McVay, etc.). It took all of 7 games in 2021 to find out Sirianni wasn’t that guy. Offense wasn’t per se the issue today (obviously the defense was terrible), but offense could have put on a lot more pressure and had to settle for a FG.

Close history for a late season collapse like the Eagles right now is the Cardinals 2 seasons ago. We were 10-2 and looking good, then we lost the lost the last 4 out of 5 games and got curb stomped by the Lambs in the Wild Card round. Nobody believed in Kliff Kingsbury, his play calling was terrible and getting bailed out by the talent on the roster, but that can only get you so far.

I've been wondering since it happened, since it was just weird the way it was handled. We cant expect Siriani to be able to coach with his head permanently up his ass! Every Eagles fan feels the same way when an opposing team has 3rd and long....same way we felt when Ben Simmons was on the free throw line. We haven't had a single game all year that felt comfortable. The damn Bubble screen hasn't worked once and yet we do it every friggin game with 160 lb Smitty as lead blocker! WTF is that?

When you look at defense and games, they lose , is all defense causing problem, you have to look some of the veterans in that department their body language tell me they just dont have that energy anymore for the game. Everything they did in this last few weeks backfired . Can they do something that goes in their way? i say yes, but it's hard to believe.

Honestly I think it was beating the Chiefs that did it. I think when they won they accomplished what they wanted to, and got complacent.

I think the problem with their offense is simple: they are in the wrong scheme all the time. They are always in shotgun and that scheme should not be used every down. Second, they almost never motion, this makes it that much harder on Jalen and the receivers to understand the defense.

The 1986 NY Jets were 10-1, lost 5 in a row to close out the season and still made playoffs. At the time, they were the only team to finish the season with 5 consecutive losses and make the playoffs, and they still may be. Interestingly enough, Jets beat the Chiefs in Wild Card game and should have beaten the Cleveland Browns the following week, if not for an unbelievably stupid and late Roughing the Passer on DE Mark Gastineau deep in Browns zone with about 3 minutes minutes remaining in the 4th Quarter. So there's still hope Eagle fans, especially if the betting public fades Philly in the upcoming playoff games.

@@greatbritten196Have you watched either team lately? The Eagles keep doing the same predictable nonsense, with their biggest weakness (LB corp) being a strength (RB and TE's) for the Cardinals to exploit. It was not a good matchup, so much so I predicted Cardinals would win a few weeks ago.

It was 8 to 7 Arz possessions, the Cardinals maximized theirs and we squandered ours as has been the case all season. Our time of possession stats suck for the season, we haven’t been complimentary! Defense has been on the field all season, they’re cooked. We all knew this team had to be lead by the Offense.
