After a stint in the Reserves I found it would have been more preferable to Regular to be honest, their are perks to both but the flexibility is that depending on your unit

А у меня вот - утро начинается КОГДА УГОДНО (а не тогда, когда за окном уже светло): и неудивительно, что так - на Пункте Связи иначе и быть не может. И это ещё хорошо, что на кухне есть всё необходимое к завтраку. Потому как мне, к примеру, пришлось сегодня утром прогуляться до магазина который начинает работать в 07:00 (Moscow time) для того, чтобы купить там кусочек сыра к завтраку (магазин в непосредственной близости начинает работать с 08:00). Вот так.

The only things that change in the Army are it's soldiers join and leave. It's equipment changes over time. The company's that make equipment come and go. Small things change. But little else. The traditions are carried on from the century's. Society changes faster with the times. The Army is a bit timeless. A grenadier guard from the 19 80's is still trained the same way as now in 2021. Some parts of the uniform have changed and technology, but the drills the same, the red uniform the same, the traditions the same etc. Unchanged, preserved, the image, the standards. Preserving history in away in the present. The future is the same not much difference. That's how I see the Army with only a different war to fight, a different place to be in. I'm an observer looking in now instead of looking out from a barrack window. That's just how I see things now in 2021 to when I was in 2000 when saddam Hussain was out there before Iraq fell in 2003. Going to be constructive here, the Army would have a set programme of tasks that it's soldiers would have to do. Cleaning barracks, being on parade, PT, being in the classroom, etc. Also depends on the job role you do. Cook cooking in the kitchen Mechanic fixing motor pool vehicles Pay clerk on computer sorting out pay accounts. So different roles, different jobs. Depends on what you are asked to do? No day can be the same? Saw you get up, have breakfast What after that? Best describe a full day of what a soldier does? After the soldier has completed basic training and is in the field Army. What's a typical day for a field soldier? Training On exercise Being in barracks? My mate Richard in work was in a tank regiment. He said the Army had a structured daily programme you did. Also had another friend who applied for Sandhurst his name was bill. The interview board weren't impressed by his pony tail. They said your will have to have that cut off. I don't know if he made it or not as we lost touch? The interview board weren't too impressed by him. He had A levels to get in was fit and active going in his favour. But you are being judge all round. 👍🏻🪖🙂
