General Tips for this mission:
Finally you take out Erginus. He fights as he has always done meaning you are very much safe and you can take him out fast thanks to your massive army.
But the new big baddie is in town (literally). Archelus is gonna kick your butt for some time and is way harder to deal with. He attacks in basicaly every direction and the best way it so keep yourself diagonally from him. He does attack in front and to the sides, maning this is the best position.
When he throws the exploding missiles, you have some time to position yourself far from them before they explode, possibly even avoid any damage.
This part is really just about survival. You don't do that much damage anyway compared to your party, so just keep your distance and let your army do the rest while you just shoot from your sniper rifle to help out a bit.

After finishing EDF6, I've decided to re-play EDF5 since the games are so interconnected.

I have already played EDF5 a couple of years ago and I had a lot of fun. This playthrough is on Hard difficulty as a Ranger. I made a new character to pick up everything from the start and to keep mysels as underequipped and underarmored as possible only picking up what I find in the mission.
I am not known for my skills in shooting games, so this may help you if you struggle with any mission. In all likelihood, you will find the strategy I used sufficient as I very rarely win on skill alone.
Generally speaking, you wanna move constantly, which avoids most of the attacks from almost any enemy. There are those that require a bit more attention, but even against those you wanna move basically all the time, except your movements should be a lot more strategic.
