I had the chance to visit the Earthmoving Legacy Center in Elkader Iowa while I was there visiting MTS. This is a very quick walk through the main building to give you an idea of what is there. There are 3 more buildings to go through, as well as many pieces outside. If you are at all interested in old Caterpillar equipment you have to visit this place! I was also fortunate enough to get to see their restoration workshop, where they are very near completion on a Diesel Seventy Five. Talk about a dream shop for restoring vintage Caterpillars. I really didn't want to get into a lot of detail because I want you to go and check it out for yourself to really appreciate the history and workmanship that can be seen. Thanks for watching, I hope you enjoyed the video.

Those were some of the self propelled graders. It was a grader kit that installed over top a tracked tractor like a Twenty, or a Twenty Five. Great question thanks for asking and for watching.

Fascinating place.. a bit to far from the UK to visit though... Not meant as a criticism, but why was the picture shaky, was it something to do with a setting on the camera?
@ironman3406
@ironman3406 6 месяцев назад
That is a fair question, I added a new mic to my go pro for two reasons, make it more clear to understand when I’m talking and to get rid of the noise that could be heard every time I moved my hand. However it added some too heavy weight to the whole apparatus now that makes it harder for me to keep it steady when walking. Now I have to add a gimbal to the mix to compensate for all of that.
