I tried to recoil one all day this past Saturday. I finally gave up after wearing out my fingers and bought a new one. I don’t think I’d ever seen how they come new, but this one had a wire around it and it allowed me to drop it in and get it all set before cutting the wire. It entered my mind to try a drill, but I couldn’t picture how to attach it to something with a nail until I saw this. Great video!
Great tip. I don't know how many times I had a spring pop out all over the place and almost slap me in the face. Next time I will try your way. Thanks for sharing.👍👍
Yeah I was winding it by hand I got it wound up twice, only to have it pop out at the end. It was the same spring housing that you showed. Very tricky to do. I will try your method. Thanks
I had to do one one my Mill last year. It popped out so many times before we got it done. I saw you commented on my french video. So came to see your channel. Nice to meet you new friend.
Great tip, that drill works great for many things I've even seen apples beings peeled by drill. I appreciate you visiting, keep growing see you around.
Look at your kids on ATVs!! Love it! I just love seeing fellow, like minded parents where we let our kids go on ATVs and have fun playing outside! And teaching them how to fix things too. Beautiful! I love the instructions on how to do things on a farm. My husband is wanting to try and show things he's fixing too. I think you know this but I can't get notifications from your channel because of the kid thing. I apologize I haven't been on top of going to your channel to see if you uploaded something. I'll try and peek in to see if there's new videos. Hope you all are having a great week!
Spent 3 hours trying and ending with a broken tip. thanks to skateboarding I was pretty calm but wowzers is that a pain. Buying guy a new chainsaw because I was instructed to tie a knot to hold the handle and it slipped lmao
@@FarmDad I broke mine, twice. I spent the better part of the afternoon trying to rebend the little loop in the center using a torch and a vice with pliers, but I gave up. I'm going to have to buy a new spring.
Shine a spotlight on your work, your shadow was in the way and your camera was out of line as you inserted the spring. Otherwise it was a great video for learning!
Farm Dad I agree.... I had my 93 fox GT for 12 years. Trouble free...Sold it, needed a 4-door car. Went to Indiana to buy my 01 New Edge GT years ago too out of a collector’s warehouse. Was sitting for 5 years. It just turned 90K.. Extremely reliable and outstanding condition. Have a good rest of day.
