In this video I walk through Goldie, a new trading platform launched late-2023 in New Zealand. It allows kiwis to buy gold as an investment, easily and simply through their platform. Investing in Gold is traditionally difficult as it needs to be stored securely and there are large transaction fees associated with buying physical gold. Goldie bridges that gap by making gold investing easy. They simply invest in a 1 kilogram gold bullion bar, which at current prices is over NZ$100,000, and then sells 1/10,000th stakes in the bar (0.1grams). This is a common way to make an expensive investment affordable, similar to what Sharesies does with stocks (fractional share investing).
