Interesting! I used the Swedish 304k webbing shoulder straps instead of the original Y-strap system. Works great to wear as a normal backpack now. I’ve got 3 of these, both are the ones with the waterproof material on the inside, great price on them at Varusteleka.

I have this bag too. I binned the 3 rubbery Zeitbahn straps & replaced them with the 3 excess 'suspender' straps from the harness, which I cut off & then sealed the ends with a flame. I can use these on the side & top loops now & the back harness is tidier. Enjoyed your video, thanks & best wishes from Scotland 👍

The Water Bottles are from the UTV also the last Gear from the NVA from the GDR (DDR).

Do the grenade pouch on the lid and use the 4 mag East German AK pouch where you have the grenade pouch now.
