East Vancouver business owners fed up with uptick in crime 

Classic response from city and law enforcement officials. When an individual has no fixed address, the police don't uphold the law. Last time I checked possesing illegal drugs was a crime. So is trespassing, arson, uttering threats, littering, need I go on?

Politicians and government bureaucrats constantly increase their compensation and benefits packages and could care less about the average person working hard to make a living.

Verbally abused everyday...what happened to Bonnie Henry's "be calm, be safe and be kind"?

So unfortunate that this is happening. These businesses shouldn’t have to deal with this and take that abuse! I’m gonna go support these businesses.

Location is really crucial for business, probably as much as the demand for the product

Oh for heaven's sakes... get your act together Vancouver City Hall... get your collective bureaucratic asses out of your stupid heads and do something about the homeless crisis, lack of public washrooms... we all pay so much in property taxes --- use some of it to solve our problems and not just squirrel it away in your pockets!!!

East Van was a cool place to grow up in the 1980s. Left the hood after the 80s but heard it started going downhill after that.

I'm sorry but I can't help but find this video to be poor bashing. Most of the homeless people in the area are extremely friendly. We all need to step up as a community to make sure the most vulnerable among us are taken care of.
