It can get a older Strat tone for spaghetti western music, surfer music, and alternative or punk rock. Nice demo.

That rhythm switch always mystified me. Why not just roll off the tone knob? Ah… it was the early era of the electric guitar. I was there!

at least on Jazzmasters, if I'm not mistaken, the rhythm circuit has either different pots or a different capacitor, so even with the tone knob rolled back, it has a different timbre than just switching to the neck pickup normally.
