This is an easy mod that could help your car gain a little bit of power and have a small increase in sound. This is not street legal since you are messing with the emission system of your car so check your local laws first.

I didn't vacuum the dust as I did holding it facing down, what is the risk? Can't find an answer on Google. Mass airflow sensor was off the airbox.

Should have taken the mass air flow sensor out first but nice job

We were short on time but yes the MAF sensor should be taken out so it doesn’t get damaged or dirty.

Yes obviously taking out intake restrictions will improve hp, mpg, torque. But its definitely minimal

It frees up a little airflow which results in low single digit power gains and more induction sound.

I think it is better to just install some k&n air filter, not taking the risk to have the particules of the filter you cut going in the engine

You can add KN filter on top of this but this is cheaper. If you do it outside the engine bag like we did, there’s no risk of you are careful.

No we didn’t feel noticeable power increase or decrease. Our responsiveness got better(maybe be placebo) but there was a noticeable induction sound increase.
