The freeze dried chicken makes great treats for dogs, especially one with dietary issues.

Sour cream... I have had good luck doing the following. 1 cup sour cream powder, 2 Tbls apple cider vinegar, and whisk in water a bit at a time while whisking to desired consistency then chill (will firm up a bit when chilled). If I have milk I like to use that instead of water for an extra creamy sour cream. After it is fully chilled, whisk it well to "fluff" it up. Cheese... I keep a fine mist spray bottle with water in my kitchen specifically for FD foods. I put the cheese in a bowl, mist very lightly with water and stir, then let it sit for about 10 minutes. If softens and is ready to use just like fresh cheese! :)

I love having a freeze dryer! Chicken and veg is the best to have on hand. The flavors intensify, greatly. Especially spices.

Leisa, I love your videos because you are real and honest. I just received my pantry can variety pack. I opened the sliced bananas and now I have to force myself from getting in them constantly. I’ve already placed an order for the family can of sliced chicken and broccoli because I’m all in!! The quality of this food is fantastic and the ability to skip monthly auto ship any time you feel like it, or try other foods, makes it easier than falling in a hole. I’m sold on Thrive Life.

I've been a consultant for 15 years and I'm a "terrible" one too! LOL I love getting my shipment every month to add to my pantry/food storage and I love using the food for meals in a jar!

I freeze dry all kinds of cheese and other dairy. One thing to remember when rehydrating like the freeze dried sour cream is to use hot water other wise you will have granules not smooth same with eggs. I love the freeze dried cheese.

Rehydrating cheese takes a little bit. I add water to a ziplock and the cheese , remove air and leave for about 20 min and then drain in a strainer. Melts perfect!

I have sour crem power (not thrive). I mixed with drops of lemon juice to finally get to a nice flavor. Im waiting for my thrive bundle to come in with sour cream powder. I hope it tastes better

I wish they had herbs! I have a garden and a freeze dryer, but I decided to join the thrive team cause Id rather “shop” with thrive than the supermarket. For example, cheese shreds at the store is created with wood pulp, not Thrive, they use potato startch! Things I don’t freeze dry myself. Less waste at the grocery store! Just hit my first order and became a consultant!

I LOVE this how to use the Thrive products video. I hope you do some more! I haven't bought any of the cheese bec I didn't know if it will melt well enough to pass muster. I never use a skillet for my tortillas. Takes abt 20 seconds straight over the fire of my gas stove. Got those Abuela fingers in my house! I ordered my Thrive for the month (from you) a few days ago. Can you do a how to use video on the eggs? I got those a while bk and the sausage crumbles for diff reasons but I thought, the way you praised them, maybe they'd be a good scramble. I intended to use them in baking if they will work. Only thing I don't have is chickens so making cornbread becomes and issue.

I live in Baja Mexico. I can buy corn tortillas made in house at my local Calimax grocery store for about $1 per kilo. I can and do live on chicken tacos (soft corn tortilla, chicken, onion, cilantro & hot sauce)… maybe $15 per week with crema (sour cream). I do make tortillas, but not to save money.

You can skip months if you aren’t able to buy anything that month. You can also change the nearest delivery date to a couple of days, weeks, or months in the future if you need to. What you have in your delivery cart for July (as an example) will also be in future delivery carts so you do need to be mindful of what’s there each month. Don’t want chopped onions for next month, just delete them. I have Thrivelife on my calendar to pop up each month to remind me.

My thrive shipment just showed up. Thanks for doing this video... FYI 1/3 of a cup is larger than 1/4 cup.. so half of 1/3 is 1/6.. I know you don't do math that's okay... I remember all kinds of phone numbers from 60 years ago too, my weird useless talent. Question: what brand of low carb tortillas do you use and what are they made of?

Smart! When creating meals with freeze dried foods, I try to use more regular stored food like rice or noodles then add the meat and veggies. Works out to regular costs of today groceries.
