Home-milled hard white wheat flour offers an extraordinary taste and a plethora of health benefits that elevate home baking to a new level. The fresh milling process preserves the natural oils and nutrients of the wheat kernel, resulting in flour that boasts a rich, nutty flavor and a delightfully wholesome texture. Unlike store-bought flour, home-milled hard white wheat retains all its bran and germ, providing a robust source of dietary fiber, essential vitamins, and minerals. This unadulterated flour not only enhances the taste and aroma of baked goods but also contributes to better digestion and overall health, making it a superior choice for health-conscious bakers and culinary enthusiasts.

I am 82 years old and still enjoy your videos and I am learning how to grind my own grains. Thank you!❤
@denisemusicnut
I’ve never ground my own flour, because I don’t own a grain mill, but I do have a little experience with whole wheat berries. I grew up on my grandfather’s farm, and often snacked on the wheat in the fields as it became ripe. My grandfather was old-school, and was an organic farmer without knowing it. To him, it was just farming. He transitioned from farming with horses, to using tractors, and that was as modern as he ever got. The wheat he grew was sprayed only with rain, and the taste of the fresh wheat berries was slightly nutty, and a bit sweet. So good!

As a life long canner, freezer, dehydrator and in last year a freeze dryier, I've loved sharing and teaching the craft of food preserving. In last couple of months I've been the student as a younger friend taught me the joy of baking with fresh home ground flour. This 73 yr young lady loves it !
@cindykandel1
I’ve been milling wheat and baking bread for 40 years now. How time flies. Now, I’m teaching my grandkids the process!
@annlockey8552
Home made bread is just the best. From the smell of it cooking to enjoying a hot slice slavered in butter. Talk about making me hungry.
@kimberlymaehrer6665
The first wheat berries I got were Palouse brand - Hard Red Winter, Hard Red Spring, Hard White and Soft White - 25 lbs. each. Now I need to master making decent bread with good flour instead of “enriched” commercial flour.

I’m 74 this month and love the art of baking, canning, and all things healthy and safe. Teaching my 21 yr old grandson as I go. Thank you for all that you do.🙏🏻❤️
@JenKibler
Nothing is better than the smell of homemade bread!
@kimellis6285
I've been making my own bread from grinding wheat with a grain mill that was my husband's great aunt .. she bought it in 1981 for $300. I love all the grains available now .
@KoniB.
I love the Palouse grains that come in the "flour sack" bags. I am collecting them, slowly but surely, and will make my own flour sack full apron. I can't wait for this contest. And buy these grains. They are a~m~a~z~i~n~g, ships to your home, and come from a great company.
@UniversalVibesTV
I live in the UK and sourcing wheat berries of any kind is a challenge. So glad I discovered the Palouse website and Sutton Daze YT channel!
@robinguertin574
I make bread from my Nana's recipe, it makes 12-13 loaves. It's heaven on earth. Nana has been gone since 1986, she was born in 1907.
@jennifervernon2120
Oh my goodness, nothing better than fresh bread baking in the oven. Thank you Leisa for all the great videos and all that you do to educate.
@SoozeeQ
I'm 60 yrs old and have learned so much from you. Thank you so much for your videos and info.
@DeathandTaxes21
Pro tip: put a pyrex measuring cup or a cake pan of water in the oven and heat it to 170 degrees. That will help with the raising process. I live in the high desert, so sometimes we have to pull out all the stops.
@simplydivine5053
Products from the great Pacific Northwest! This is where I buy my wheat-berries from! You can also sprout them! Thank you for doing a video showing how you can use wheat-berries, I think it’s really a product and all the benefits not talked about enough!
@ChristinaGreen-kg3xo
Oh my goodness.. I’ve bought lentils of all kinds from Palous! Red.. orange yellow green and regular… I’ve also gotten other things.. love them.. starting to make sourdough.. love buying in bulk!thank you for all your great info that you always bring to your channel!🌸🌸🌸
@user-gg6gi5tn8q
I love to bake bread . I have to confess that I use a bread machine for most of it but it looks like you have baked a perfect loaf of bread
@CcDecember-yq1nf
I just bought myself a hand grinder! I hope to start grinding my own flour to bake bread! I am excited to watch this video to learn as much as I can from the video and all the comments! All you ladies are a wealth of knowledge!
@almacor7042
I started grinding my own flour over six months ago and family love it! We have all agreed it’s way better not only in flavor and texture than the store bought bread but way healthier and keeps you full 😊 Thank you Leisa and Palouse!!
