Easy DIY holder for those glue bottles!

For me, those glue bottle applicators are both a blessing and a curse! They work great for applying just the right amount of glue, but having to shake the glue down to the nozzle every time I pick it up, is a real pain in the 'you know what'!
I put together this little stand and clamped it to my work table so now it is always ready when I am.
Measurements:
3/32" (2.5mm) sheet of wood
Piece. Quantity. Imperial. Metric. Description
A 1. 5" x 1 5/8". 126 x 40mm. Top
B. 1. 5" x 2 1/4" 126 x 57mm. Base
C. 1 5" x 2 1/4". 126 x 57mm. Back
D. 2. 2 1/4" x 1 1/2". 58 x 38mm. Sides

Such a cool solution to a common problem! You would think that manufactures would have developed something to help with glue frustration! LoL 😂 i think the only solution I've ever seen was from Aileen's. They use to have an option to buy a larger bottle of tacky glue that had a lid that allowed the glue to be stored upside down so that the glue was always ready and it also allowed for fewer instances of clogged tips 🤦‍♀️ always a nightmarish mess! I imagine there are more than a few people who would be interested in purchasing pre-made pieces or even a pre-cut kit that they could kust glue together. Your design is very universal and would hold several types and sizes of glue bottles. The "U" shape would accomodate the neck of regular school glue shaped bottles and even Aileen's Tacky Glue.🤩

Totally agree! I have the Aileens Tacky glue that sits upside down and I love it! I have yet to find a wood glue with the same solution so this little stand will work for now!

Hi Kathleen, it is a struggle for sure. I keep a thin piece of wire to plunge the tip, with my glue supply, for those times I forget the lid. The only other thing is to dilute the glue a bit which gives you a little more time before it clogs, however I have not tried that myself for fear of increasing the possibility of warping.
