Easy Fix For Toro Lawnmower That Won't Start (V1124) - Won't Stay Running 

Hey man, I was "gifted" a Toro recycler because it wouldn't start no matter what was tried, they gave up on it a year ago. I said no, don't trash it, after they bought a new mower. Tried this method today, runs like new, thank you!!!

You are a Flippin genius! I have changed the spark plug and spent well over three hours trying to figure out what to do with my lawnmower. I dump all the gas out and it starts. Now to filter. Thank you so much

I dont know how it happened, but after following your instructions it started on the 3rd try. Even though gasoline was clear without any debris. The lawn was cleared in a matter of seconds... Thank you for this video. Amazing!

Thank you so much. I went to get my 15 yo gson to help me flip the lawnmower over and empty the gas. Refilled it with clean gas a little starter fluid, good to go!

Holy Crap. This actually worked!! Thanks a ton!!! I I’ve been having trouble with the mower for the longest and it finally gave out today. After trying this and giving it a pull. It worked like brand new! Life saver !!!

Ummmmm thank you, thank you and thank you. My lawnmower stopped working in October and thank God for fall but now it’s spring and the grass has started to grow. I almost tore my rotator cuff because surely I was pulling the string wrong. Emptied the gas that wasn’t even dirty, started the motor and the rest is history. Again THANK YOU!!!

Hey thanks for the info on that bolt. I have a toro 22 recycler mower that's less than a year and of course it doesn't start. I took the bolt off to get to the carburetor and the gas was like gel so I cleaned it and still didn't work, I took the bolt back off again today and I applied some FUEL DEFENSE ENGINE PROTECTION CARBURETOR SPRAY the mower fired right up thanks for the video and I hope the spray works for someone else out here!

I just got this mower for $25 because it would not start, I was about to clean the carburetor and I said to my self let me look in RU-vid some videos to avoid mistakes, I saw your video and I said to myself let me try your idea and it worked the only thing I did that you didn’t do was to clean the gas tank I was surprised there was no filter but then I saw a piece of plastic inside which it actually is the filter I cleaned it and I add fresh gas and it started first pull lol Guys clean your filter that hooks to the gas line and add fresh gas and you will glad you did

Oh I was sooo hoping. I even filtered it twice before giving it a go. It ran a hair longer but still sputtered out. I am a 62 yr ol gal, not a mechanic, got tired of my husky mower clogging its (new model) too tiny carburator fuel port and expensive trips so learned to clean it. But then messed up reinstalling it, the RPMs went off the charts. Had to pay for another repair, full price, 1 month wait. SO, since I had to mow inbetween this repair, I bought a used toro/kohler - 2nd weekend, drive belt blew but thanks to youtube, EASY fix. This weekend - carb is clogged. But this carb'r seems more tricky. Of course. sigh.

Thank you. Dumping the gas and putting it back in worked. Although there wasn’t any pieces/debris. 🤷🏽‍♂. Either way, its working now.

Hey brother this vid is a lifesaver!! WORKED PERFECTLY flipping it was a bit awkward(by myself)not too heavy but it has to be just right to drain all the gas into a container after that put fresh fuel in and she sputtered first, second pull and came back to life on the third. So thanks again SIDE NOTE: I honestly think if it had a primer we may not have had to do this but idk. Again Thank You Stay Safe✌🏾

I could tell that when you got it started, you were as happy as a gopher in soft dirt.

i have the same mower. My fuel was not the issue. I removed both those bolts on the carb bowl, removed the bowl and sprayed the crap out of everything inside and in the carb. Started up first pull.

Thanks, empty all the gas out before I even put more gas in the little gas that was left in it started right up.

many briggs and most all tecumesh have those holes in the bolt. the Kohler is basically a copy of a Honda engine the main jet is up in the center of the carb and is where the gas gets sucked up into the intake. They often get clogged with the old gas

Good thing he got the screw thingies cleaned after he got them out of the metal thingy

We have the same exact mower and the same thing happens on the carburetor Bowl Let It drain about maybe a minute and I put the nut back in and it mine fires right up

Old gas? If older than 3 months, you should just put it little blue and then get fresh gas. Just make sure little blue has more than a half tank to absorb the bad gas

My tank was empty so I put in fresh gas I will check the carburetor now

So I change the oil and gas on mine’s but it froze up
