EASY FIX - Oil Leaks From Engine (Briggs & Stratton 26HP 44 cu inch)

A leaking crankcase shaft seal can sometimes be fixed by adding a couple of ounces of AT-205 ReSeal, or similar product from Amazon, to your oil. It worked on my leaking power steering pump shaft on my 2000 Ford Expedition. I only used about 1/3 of the bottle. It is worth a try on the crankshaft seal, since it is a lot of work to remove that engine. It makes synthetic rubber swell a tiny bit, which is often enough to stop small leaks around rotating shafts. Never put it in brake systems.

Figure out how to maximize the EGR system and reduce the crankcase pressure as a long term fix on the gasket blowouts

This the same process for the 24 and 25 HP ones I assume? 2008 Exmark Quest with a 24Hp Briggs 44000 series engine.

How come when I flipped it over I had oil come out all over the place

So as to not lose oil out of the dip stick opening, should I tip the engine over the opposite side of the stick , or front to rear?

I did this to my engine and tried I started it and it revved to the moon! I tried to adjust the governor and I still can’t get it to idle correctly. Any idea what I could do? I saw that
