Aloha and welcome back to Bear's Recipes Hawaiian series! Today, we're whipping up a mouthwatering dessert: Hawaiian Butter Mochi. This delightful treat is incredibly easy to make yet bursting with fantastic flavor. Join us as we bake it together step by step!
🌺 Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled slightly
1 pound sweet rice flour (preferably mochiko)
3 cups sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
5 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
12 oz coconut milk
🍽️ Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sweet rice flour, sugar, and baking powder.
3. Add the beaten eggs, vanilla extract, coconut milk, and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth and well combined.
4. Pour the batter into a well-buttered 9x13 inch baking pan. Tap or shake the pan gently on the counter to release any air bubbles.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes to an hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
6. Once baked, remove from the oven and allow the mochi to cool in the pan.
7. Once cooled, cut the mochi into squares and serve.
