I did something similar recently Leila. It wasn't a leaf that I found tho, I was just out on a walk and came across a stunning feather that must have come from a bird of prey. The colours and markings on it are dazzling so I took it home with me to try and sketch it using pencils before giving it to my young niece 😄

...... Hi Flower - Thanks for yet another chilled-out/interesting 30 minutes of your output, yet I guess it took waaay more than 1/2 an hour to produce??!. I see it's "leaf dropping" weather down there, 13 - 15 degrees and damp?, a big contrast to the current 30 - 35 degrees in the U.K (!). I love warm weather..... but there's a limit?!!. The leaf you've drawn looks a lot like a Bay leaf - even though I know it's not - one of my favourite smells/flavours, when fresh especially, and an essential addition to any good tomato / Indian sauce..... What would life be like without spices and herbs???. I see the usual Faber Castell "weapon-of-choice" in your fingers (they are obviously top notch pencils), But : It'd be great to see you using a Derwent in the same role.....?!. **Please**, either reply on here - or an email? - with your favourite grades of graphite you'd generally use, and = I'll get some ordered for you, It'd be a total pleasure..... Say 3 or 4 different grades, and i'll get you 3 or 4 (or a tinfull in total?) of each. I do remember you saying you particularly like their softer-graded products...... I guess I have subscribed to too many channels (>300), because although I have checked the bell, I seem to have missed multiple videos of yours. Maybe by not clicking right away once or twice the algorithm concluded that I was no longer seriously interested? Edit: turns out I missed a lot of videos on other channels as well. Guess I have to reduce the number of channels or start checking manually.
