Easy Salmon Cakes with Lemon Dill Sauce | Air Fryer, Oven, or Stovetop! 🍋

The salmon cakes can be frozen before cooking, so you could make a batch and then keep some ready in the freezer. (Freeze on a flat baking sheet or plate and then store in an air tight container.) Yes I think you’re right about the 1960s - my dad has a story he always tells about Jimmy Carter enjoying salmon croquettes … the recipe used canned salmon and was much simpler, more like your mother’s. Marie, thanks for your lovely reply. I understand your sadness at your mother's passing. I don't think we ever really get over the loss of our mother, but we can try to live life to our best ability knowing that would have been their wish for us. You must be a wonderful mum to your children, I thought they looked so happy in some of the clips I've seen on your channel. When my own children were young I never encouraged them in cooking as I was (ridiculously) worried about mess etc. I do regret that now, but am trying to make amends by always welcoming my grandchildren into the kitchen. My daughter came home recently while I was showing my grandson & granddaughter how to wash & prep salad, _ the lovely smile on her face when she saw us said it all. Best wishes to you & your family

I use grated Parmesan from the refrigerated section - so a few steps up from the green can 🤣 There are several different brands and they’re all good.
