Easy Sautéed Collard Greens

Hey y’all! Here’s an easy and delicious recipe you can try...sautéed collard greens! It’s definitely a change of pace from traditional collard greens but it is delicious nonetheless.
Ingredients (with ROUGH estimates)
3 strips of bacon
1 tablespoon of oil
1/2 cup of chopped onions and red bell pepper (*shortcut* they have them in the frozen aisle)
1/2 tablespoon of Minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon Onion powder
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
1 teaspoon creole seasoning
1/2 teaspoon chicken powder
1 cap full of white vinegar
1 cup of chicken broth
1 bunch of collard greens
Love

This was so good!! Whipped these up this weekend and I think everyone liked these more than my brisket. Only downside was I should've tripled the recipe because they were gone in seconds! 😆 Thanks for sharing this! Definitely a keeper.

I don't know if I ever told you but this is my 5th time making these greens. This is the only way I will ever make them and everyone loves them. The only difference is I use beef bacon because my family does not eat pork. Thank you so much!

Could you possibly use lime juice in place of vinegar? Bc vinegar give me a headache?

I’ve never heard of putting lime in greens so I’m not sure how that would work out.

You could leave the vinegar out and cook your greens longer…the vinegar lends in the flavor department but it’s also used to break down the greens quicker.

I typically use vinegar too because that's what my grandma used. But I've had greens with lemon juice and they were good. So I don't see why you couldn't use lime. What you're looking for is the acid kick.
