You are the best teacher I've ever listened to. Thank You so much!! I have been crocheting since I was a junior in high school. But I have only worked with single & double stitches, and broomstick lace. I've only made dish cloths, pot holders, & scarves. :-) But now I can make hats!!! Thank You!
Made one for my granddaughter need like 5 more different colors but I knw der going to love dem hugs n kisses .Thank you I see ur tutorials keep me busy I'm disabled but happy to be useful for something.
Great video....easy to follow with clear instruction. I organized my house and "FOUND" all my yarn so decided it was time to crochet something. I have made two of your messy bun beanies. One for my daughter in law....she LOVES it!!!
Thank you Yolanda for the wonderful video, I made this in just a few hours. But I did change something, instead of chaining the 24 stitches to start the hat, I crocheted 24 stitches around a hair tie. This stretches the hat enough to accommodate bigger hair and also accommodates a smaller pony tail. My hat turned out wonderful because I had great direction, thanks again!
Thank you so much. Your directions were so great. To the point, easy to follow, no additional verbage to work through that can be confusing. Perfect and simple pattern also. Again, thank you and you are a great teacher. Yes, God does love us.
Thank you so much for your RU-vid. I have made many of these for friends and family. Also for charity. You are so easy to follow. Thanks again and God bless.
Thank for an inspiring, easy video. I don't do a lot of crocheting any more because of arthritis in my hands, but this is easy enough and I can handle it....my g-daughters will enjoy them.
Yolanda..u are such a good teacher and I love your tutorials! I made 3 of these hats within a couple of days for my beautiful daughter, daughter-in-Law and my very special little Granddaughter (my one and only one out of 5 grandchildren) so now I'm making the fourth hat for myself! It has been a blast and a great a accomplishment. They turned out beautifully and they love the hats. Thanks again for your time and efforts to teach us how much fun crocheting can be!!!
Im not trying to be rude, but if the video is too fast...just pause it till you can catch up. I think your tutorials are fabulous! Love working along with you as you make such cute projects.
I made one, followed this video but, it was slightly too big. I used an I hook. So next time I'll try with a H hook with not as many rounds. And I used 2 strands of yarn to make it thicker for added warmth. I love it! Thank you for this tutorial 💕
love this ..making it for christmas gifts for co workers and stocking stuffers for family instead of making a chin or ribbon to secure for the bun i decided to crochet around a ponytail scrunci
I love this hat made one last night and thought it would be easy to make a closed in hat so I did and its worked out great, This is my go to pattern now for hats, Thank again
Love the clear and fast instructions. You are a fantastic teacher . Often with some videos the presenters sound condescending. This is not the case at all with your video
Thank you so much. Very clear directions. I especially love the fact that you like to use more numbers as the directions which is something I seem to work off of very well. I'm definitely going to try this and thank you for taking the time to share. Blessings. :)
I've struggled with making hats for a while and couldn't figure out why but something about your pattern helped me realize where I kept messing up when crocheting in the round, so thank you so much!
Yolanda! You made me a success. I have now completed two of these hats and they will be in the mail this afternoon to my granddaughter in Maryland. brrrr I used your directions and altered them to make the best beanie I have so far. I admit there were some issues with me understanding you and you talk kind of fast. But you were clear and concise and showed your stitching so well I subscribed. The more I listen to you the better I understand. You are sweet and a pretty lady too. Thank you for your time. I feel so good about these hats. Thanks to you. Oh, I would like to add that for the end of the drawstring I had some wooden beads that I was able to get the yarn through and they are really cute. Nice little accent.
Thank you, Yolanda, this looks really easy! I don't like starting at the brim which seems like most of the patterns for these are starting at the brim. Thank you, again, and I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
Yolanda, I love your tutorial on the messy bun hat. I am so glad I found you on RU-vid! Will be looking for more tutorials from you. I am terrible at reading patterns so tutorials are the way to go for me You are so articulate and clear on direction. Thank you!!!!
Thank you for this tutorial! I hadn't crocheted in years, but thought doing something other than a blanket would be fun. Found this video and was so excited. I have long hair, so this type of hat is great. Took me no time to have it done and your instructions were so easy to follow. Thanks again!
Love, love, love, the draw string!! makes it such a versital hat! you could even wear it as a regular beanie with a cute bow. Thank you for the tutorial.
Awesome!, just finished my first hat. Thank for your video. Good instructions, and good teaching. Love the hat, now to put in in the mail and head it North. 😎
I really like this pattern and you make it very easy to follow thank you .,, The only thing I did different was I crocheted The beginning 24 stitches around a hair tie 👍it worked really well 😊have a nice day !
Thank you so much for a super easy pattern. I have tried several and yours was the one! Got my hat done ni about 30 min. Now on to 5 more for friends! Thanks again Yolonda
hi there Yolanda , thank for making the video's for us . I have made a few of the patterns , on this pattern it would be so nice to see you join and at the end and start the front and back ripple trim I get all messed up at the end and not sure how to start sec row. I have seen some samples on how to do it but they always use a straight piece to show us they don't attach like a cap with that is what I am making :)
Finally! Someone came up with a simple pattern! Thank you. Ive been following you for several years and I love all your tutorials. This pattern is almost like the one I came up with but your is much easier......THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
Thank you so much for making this simple and easy to follow! And especially for the "God loves you" sign off! God loves you too and may he bless you richly! Thanks again!
Awesome tutorial! Easy to follow even for a beginner like me! :) I absolutely LOVE my new messy bun hat! Having very very long hair, I needed one of these...and couldn't find them in any store! Now I can keep my hair up in a braid AND wear my hat for warmth! Getting ready to start my 2nd hat! Thanks again! :)
Thank you for the video. My hat came out wonderfully. A bit small so I will be making another to fit me. My only suggestions about your videos is would you please slow down when explaining and if possible more close up shots to be able to see your work better. I am new and I still need to go slow. But never the less still great videos!! Thank you:) Gracias.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I just finished one and I love it! Simple and pretty. Going to add a rose to it. Merry Christmas and thank you for all what you do!
Thank you thank you thank you. Your directions and video made making this hat so easy!! I have been trying with other patterns and videos without success. I really appreciate it. I look forward to more crocheting tutorials. 😁
I really enjoyed your video and i was able to make my very first messy bun hat for my daughter. Thank you for posting it..I have subscribed and liked your video
