Got my Ukulele a few days ago. I have no musical background, was told as a kid my mother was wasting her money giving me piano lessons and school music teachers telling me year after year to just "mouth the words" . Well I am now 62 years old and decide to stop believing all those people. You have got me playing music for the first time. Loving it...thank you..

OK . I did it! strumming was just perfect for me at this stage. 50yrs old and finally got a song done. I gave up over the decades, but determined to play this year, brought another uke for my 50th & a tuner which really helps, (seems i may have been playing my ukes out of tune, hence the BAD sounds). And being taught a strumming technique also helpful.

At last a ukulele teacher who really explains the way to STRUM a song . I don't know about anyone else but this has been the hardest thing of all to learn for me the chords I can practice with chord progressions but actually putting the chords into a strumming pattern in time with the music I have found the hardest thing of all . Having the strumming explained so clearly has really helped me thank you so much I hope you do a lot more of these lessons. Another thing that would help is if you could have the chord letters come up on screen as you are playing so I can play along while watching Thank You Again.

I got a ook for my (51st) birthday just a few days ago. I had been just plunking around on it, not really playing so much as strumming a couple chords. Thanks to you I sat down tonight and learned my first song. "Stand by Me", then I stumbled over to your "I'm Yours" tutorial and hashed it out as well. I can't thank you enough. You da man!!

The ..umm to signify rest or skipping the stroke is really cool trick. I think it is make it easy to remember to skip because it helps you keep with rhythm. Thank you for the great lesson.
