Thanks! I appreciate that. Adam is a great guy and a great family as well. I like that hes so eager to learn new things. If he wasnt crackin the whip i would have like to talk to you for a bit. Take care.
Hey Kyle, when you design ‘pretty much anything’ on CNC always at your right angles or any angle, put radiuses that are at least twice the thickness of the plate you are cutting. This will allow stresses to flow through the plate and not create ‘hot’ corners where cracks propagate.
How dare you grow on me good sir! Really liking the content you are putting out, thank you for your honest colorful opinion. Now I want a CNC plasma cutter.... sourcing them in the frozen wild north is a little tricky sometimes... Cheers, Alex.
Sweeet. I have been trying to hook up with the Amish in my area to do the same thing.I went to Lowes took some pics of I think they are timber lock brackets. Redrew them and made a few changes for myself. Lowes absolutely lays you away on the cost of them. The T style was $27.00 bucks. And I think the L bracket was $21.00 and they are no where near as nice and big as the ones you made. Thanks for sharing yet another awesome video and I hope you have extra o rings in your truck 😂
most of the time, gussets for wood will just be basic a36 plate, but anything structural needs to be traced from the mill. its easy though. your material vendor will have mill certs and will provide you those mill certs when you buy the material. the special inspector on the project will ID the material and verify that the heat number matches the mill cert, and then you are good to go
I get hypertherm consumables from a local welding supplier. There is a pierce counter on firecontrol to keep track. I just change them when i notice the torch is having trouble piercing the steel. Youll know when its time
Haha, I tell my kids not to blow an O-ring when they disappear to the restroom. Are you still using the Razorweld x45? Do you recommend this or what would you suggest?
@@SpicerDesignsLLC Really been debating, but the price tag just seems so much for what your using it for. I'm currently working on a conversion kit to run a fiber laser instead of a plasma cutter on the table.
Good work, Kyle! Hopefully, you will receive plenty of new customers for metal work. Too bad that cash box was locked haha that truck of yours will need more oil.😂 anyways thanks for posting another video. Cheers bud 👍
I thought i mentioned that info in the video. Its 12 ga mild steel. There certain requirements for gussets so dont base that off this video. The gussets i made were for ascetics more than anything.
Uhhh... 3/8 inch is .375. But please, don't make the holes .375 for the builder's sake. Give about. 010 to .015 clearance, so the holes should be generally .385 or .390.
