great video! I used exactly your method and i am very happy with the results. I have one question though. If you withdraw the top 2/3 of plasma, you end up with a even more concetrate prp?
I have heard such rumors, but I have never seen any evidence that it is so. Nor have I ever even seen a case report that might associate endotoxins with ACD-A tubes.
Thank you for this wonderful video. I do have a question. You mention removing ACD gel from the tubes before the second spin. Can we instead use tubes without ACD gel?
VERY NICE VIDEO...THANK YOU!!! YOU SAY: 1. - WITHDRAW IT FROM TUBE, THEN INJECT IT IMMEDIATELY, OR 2. - COOL IT ND THEN WITHDRAW AND INJECT IT, OR, 3. - "ACTIVATE IT AND THEN INJECT IT, OR, 4. - JUST SAVE IT FOR LATER ON INJECTION. PLEASE...CAN YOU ANSWER THESE 3 QUESTIONS FOR ME: 1. WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY "ACTIVATE IT? 2. - HOW LONG CAN IT BE SAVED FOR BEFORE USING IT AGAIN? 3. - WHAT IS THE BEST TEMP TO COOL BEFORE WITHDRAWING AND INJECTING IT AGAIN, OR JUST TO KEEP IT COOL FOR LATER-USE-SAVING? THANK AGAIN FOR THIS AWESOME, VERY INFORMATIVE VIDEO...CHEERS!!!
"Activate" means to add an agent such as calcium or thrombin that will cause the platelets to release their alpha granules. How long can you save PRP? Unknown. It will gradually deteriorate over time so there is no clear cutoff point. Perhaps less than 24 hours. Cooling it right before injection sensitizes the platelets. That's what you want.
