That's why, some years ago, when my doctor said that I had to eat only the egg white, I looked at him, nodded yes, and kept on eating the whole egg...!!! I just stick to the natural way of eating...!!!
Since I started eating lectin free foods and no meat . I have been getting more sick. I have more constipation problem and I am following the book of unlocking the keto code but it's not working. I'm going to meat back into my diet and eatung bananas
I would add meat back first and foremost!! Bananas have lectins? That's the problem with this lectin thing some of the healthiest foods in the world have lectins like walnuts!! And tho not good for everyone tomatoes are good for fighting cancer and prostate problems, I think preparing food is what we need to look into more, soaking nuts grains seeds for instance, but there's probably things that can be done for other things, bananas can be cooked for instance minamalizing problems. And Organic!
I have no problem with most of your advice Dr. I'm not eating egg yolk...stopped years ago & the smell alone makes me sick. I'm sticking with the egg whites.
Thank you for this video! I'm 53 yrs old and I eat 3 pasture-raised eggs cooked in olive oil with a side of avocado for lunch 4-5 times a week. Been doing that for over 4 years now and I just recently had my cholesterol tested and I had a coronary CT angiography, and an echocardiography, and an EKG and all tests showed my heart to be in PERFECT health. Unfortunately due to Crohn's disease, I struggle with plant-based proteins and I can only eat animal protein in small portions except for eggs. So I am always happy to hear that pasture-raised eggs are relatively healthy because so many people keep trying to convince me they are not.
@@sl4983 Gundry says give egg white to the dog. If it is bad why the dog should it eat? There is 3.6 g protein in one large egg white. Actually that's not so much. What is wrong with protein? We need it.
He's not saying the protein is an issue. It's about other things in the egg vs the white. I myself have issues with eggs and it's one of THE most common allergens and it's not about the protein content
Recommendation of this low of protein per day goes against everything they say for longevity. You'll end up a bag of weak bones at risk of fractures etc
The ubiquitous chronic health in America tells me maybe we SHOULD be doing the opposite of the main-stream narrative regarding protein, among other things.
He just go against mainstream to make some money. Selling worthless stuff. Making worthless videos. It's up to the not so smarth people to believe him.
I’m not sure why this happens but when I eat a whole hard boiled egg I become very nauseous. When I eat only the yolk I do not. This video was very informative so from now on I am ditching the whites.
Dr G, we love you! And my husband loves eggs! But he has Stage 4 prostate cancer, so he only eats one a month. Could you discuss this connection please?
I can agree with the majority of what you are stating. However, ALL animal proteins consist of 22 amino acids, whereas there are NO plant based proteins with all 22 amino acids. There are 9 essential amino acids in a few plant based proteins, such as soy beans and garbonzo beans, but to obtain 9 essential amino acids from plant based proteins, one would require "grazing" of multiple beans and greens (no grains) throughout the day. I concluded while in India, the reason many Indians suffer from diabetes by the age 50 is due to the lack of enzymes that are not in their plant-based diets. I consume very few plant greens, with chicken and eggs being my primary sources of protein. Also, a proper protein intake depends upon your body weight with 1.5 to 2 MG of protein required per KG of body weight. Four eggs per day will not supply sufficient protein. I am 77 years of age, with the the thumb nail showing me at age 76 years of age, muscular and healthy 107 KG. Cheers
This is absolutely wrong information. 2 eggs will cover your protein requirements? No they won’t. A moderately active person requires 1 g of protein per 1 kg of body weight - so about 80 grams. This is double for an active male. 2 eggs will give u a whopping 12 grams of protein. Hs, this is such a bad take and misinformation!
this is insane and wasteful. eat the whole egg! I don't want to be snarky and say if he ate more whole eggs and animal protein he wouldn't need cue cards for ten minute videos :)
