I feel like an idiot, Ive been buying powdered erythritol this whole time. I could have just been blending... that alone is worth giving this video a thumbs up.
The R and T are lowercase because there's no way to represent them using the markings it had available, an upper case R would look like an upper case A and an upper case T would look like a 7 or have to take up an extra space, hope that helps
Clumped cocoa fix: Get a wire sieve and put it in the bowl. Put your powder in it instead of directly into the bowl. Pick it up and shake, tap, or help yourself with a spoon to get it through the mesh. The powder that comes out is extremely fine and mixes well. It's best if you do that for ALL dry powders in your recipe, makes things much easier to mix too.
@@derryckensonlouisjean3219 I come with a healthy dose of scepticism to somebody who doesnt know to sift in the first place. It's fine to be new at something and need more details.
just made these. great stuff! really hit the spot for volume too. I've also eaten your cookies for dessert almost everyday for the last 3 weeks, now these are in rotation
Hey Rahul, honestly I’d just like to thank you for existing and making these videos. You are hands down THE BEST recipe king when it comes to healthy & high protein foods. I’ve watched countless recipes on instagram from the usual influencers and you genuinely blow them all out the water. Please continue doing what you do and I hope you stick around forever! All the best!
Just made a batch of these after tracking down the ingredients - erithrytol difficult to find in Australia..The mix of protein types produced a really great texture! I didn't blend the erithrytol so the glaze was a bit lumpy - won't skip that next time. What a great recipe! Love your content!
I made some, I added some vanilla extract about a teaspoon. And instead of baking powder I used rapid rise yeast about a teaspoon. Just be sure to warm the greek yogurt to room temp or higher so you dont kill the yeast. Then leave in a warm oven with a tray of boiling water for 30 min so they fluff up. Then air fry them!
You are such a great creator. I love your sense of humor and the content you create. Super unique; you deserve more subs 👏 thanks for all the great recipes
Wow I’m so happy I found your channel! I made your overnight oats recipe and they were AMAZING and I couldn’t even finish them I got so full. Trying to lose 30 lbs before my wedding in April and I’ll definitely be making some more of your recipes. Thanks!!
Note about the air fryer display: can’t make capital R (would look like an A) or T (would look like a backwards 7) with their 7-segment digital display. It would be possible with a 14/16-segment.
You could probably finagle with coconut flour instead of all purpose for even lower carbs. Use a lot less since it's more absorbant. But it'll still be the right texture.
🤤 I’m so excited to try these! I’ve been eating your Oreo over night oats every night for months now since I’ve watched your video, game changer and sooo delicious I look forward to it every time 😭🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
6:25 the r and the t are lower case because the LEDs are only vertical and horizontal since its cheaper and easier to produce boards in that format, but because of that, a capital R would be the same as an A and a capital T would be a failed F
Hi Rahul, been following you for a while thx for all the recipes! Btw the letters of the air fryer are lowercase because you can't write a T in a 7 segment display which's what they use for those little screens cause they're cheap AF. Keep the good content and thx again
The R and T are lowercase because you cannot make an uppercase R or T with the 7 segment display on the airfryer. It's a limitation of the electronic component used in the display.
"Circular and... Damp" 😬👍 I died man, you're so funny, and these videos are insanely helpful! I'm currently doing ADF and struggling to eat enough calories on my eating days, but once I hit maintenance and start eating daily again, I'm so so excited to give some of these a shot!
Who is here for the way he says “chawklate”? 🙋🏻♀️ lol I kid I kid. Real talk I wanna try this. I found your channel recently and I have been using some of these recipes. Thank you 🙏🏻
@RahulKamat certain letters are lower case because it’s not a screen rather backlit areas making an 8 just like a clock. And it makes letters and numbers by lighting up which sections make said letter or number. The number 8 allows you to make any letter or number however some have to be lower or upper case
I made these again today; so so so so delicious! Mine are sticky; I think I'll try adding a tiny bit more protein powder next time, or - as you say - keep some handy to powder my hands. Rahul, the 'dense donut hole' chewy texture on these is just not anywhere else in low calorie baking! I think the sweeteners might play a role though - I used stevia, allulose, and xylitol in equal parts, and I believe the xylitol adds some of the chewiness. I rolled out the dough this time and cut rounds to make them even before rolling, so now I'm thinking ahead to Christmas cookie cutter cookies, in chocolate, gingerbread, and 'sugar' cookies. I haven't used my air fryer for these - I just baked them in the oven at 350 for 25-30 minutes.
6:24 Because they used a digital number display for letters, it's 7 vertical and horizontal lines that light up or not to make a number or a letter, the full pattern being an 8. The cap T has a middle vertical bar in it so we can't make it and same for the cap R which has a diagonal bar in it.
Where I live, we don't call them munchkins or donut holes... we call them timbits 😅. I clicked because I thought Rahul was making protein timbits 😊. Nonetheless, always amazing videos and recipes 👊.
6:24 They're displayed that way because it's a digital display, made up of 3 horizontal lines, and 4 vertical lines. When they're all illuminated, they make an 8. Different lines are switched on or off to make letters and / or numbers. The r in PrE is lowercase because all but the bottom line being illuminated makes a capital A, as seen in HEAt. The t in HEAt is lowercase for the same reason; limitations. There is no way to make an uppercase T on a display with no vertical lines down the center.
Definitely delicious but if someone works out a lot. Like a lot they need calories. And carbs and sugar. Carbs and calories aren’t bad. If your one a weightloss diet yes then that’s great and all.
I finally ordered the casein protein powder and made these. Damn, they're amazing! I thought it was a pain to divide and roll them as the dough stuck to my hands - until I tasted them. Crazy good and worth the trouble. I just sprinkled them with a little powdered sweetener; didn't bother with a glaze and they were still brilliant. I think I'll just spray my hands with a little oil or use a melon baller next time; definitely making them again! Thanks bunches!
Let's gooo Rahul, all of these recipes are so easy to make and taste absolutely amazing! Also hopefully I can make my "whey" through all of them donut holes😂😂
the letters look like that bc the segmented display doesnt have the necessary segments to like, make more complex shapes like uppercase r's or lowercase e's
The R and the T are lowercase because it is a segmented LED display. They don't have diagonal lines, or lines in the middle of the number. If you made the R uppercase it would just look like an A, and if you made the T uppercase, the vertical line would be on the left or right instead of the middle.
I'm wondering how pea protein would work out? I switched from whey protein to pea protein a couple of years ago, as it's supposed to be a much better and cleaner source of protein. So sayeth Thomas DeLauer. However, I've never baked with it. So far I've only used it in protein shakes.
I'm one of the oldesters in SoCal who actually grew up with Dunkin. My hometown had one of only a handful of Dunks west of Simmissippi. And we didn't didn't even know we had it good! It was THE donut shop for our town. (There were Winchells of course but the ones in our area.... the product was always dry and the coffee terrible). Honey glaze was the go-to, but of course those Dutch process chocolate Munchkins were always on order. The cin-sugar was meh.
The reason the ‘r’ and ‘t’ are lowercase is due to the limitations of the seven-segment display when implementing letter of the latin alphabet. Uppercase versions of ‘r’ and ‘t’ are simply not available. You’ll notice that some letters are not capable of being displayed: k, m, v, w, x whether capitalised or not.
Are you continuously asking about the r and t just for comment engagement ? I think several people have told you about 7-segment displays. Well, I guess it worked since I'm commenting now. I'll try these once I'm home.
Finally got some casein powder and made a batch instead of subbing in PB powder. I can taste the difference but I think I overbaked. Looking forward to dialing in the recipe with the casein.
6:23 It's like alarm clocks. It's digital letters/numbers that can only be shaped with an 8, with its limitations. If you used that format to make a R, it would look the same as the A, and the T is basically impossible to do.
