@@angelogandolfo4174 Except you wouldnt be able to go anywhere because the pavements would be chock full of fat blokes eating food on poundland chairs to make them even fatter and harder to walk round
Those of you watching from London, take note. There was space to park. The chippy guy had a conversation, recommended an extra to taste and there was change for the note handed over.
Yes every single one is owned by them and hella pricey on all menu the cost for all that in the video blew me away £7.64 !!! It’s minimum 12 pounds at my local just for the fish and chips alone nothing including drinks or mushy peas or drinks
Byrnes is a cracking chippy, they do loads for the local community too and even fire up the range when closed just before Christmas to feed everyone at the local homeless shelter for free. Fruity curry is a winner by the way and those peas are soaked overnight the traditional way !
Yeah I guessed those peas were proper soaked variety, totally different flavour to the canned ones. Now Byrne's is obviously an Irish name, and when the owner described the cheese savoury I recognised it straight away from my childhood growing up in Co Cork Ireland. 40 years ago they were just called potato cakes, the cheese wasn't so runny, it was diced up orange cheddar mixed with mash, onion and parsley, they were 25p each!
The crown jewels, the magna carta, the Jules Rimet World cup trophy, Danny's table. Precious items of historical significance that will educate future generations
@@terryostype9099 I think a young Danny pulled the table from the sacred stone thus earning the right to be king of the takeaway and then the lady of lake passed the chair of the righteous to Him. And so it came to pass that all unbelievers bowed down to the might of Rate My Takeaway. And there was joy and feasting throughout the land.
@Cheek Chaser you gotta be kidding me bro. get out of here with that BS. idc if you’re republican or a democrat or whatever. leave cause literally nobody cares. don’t bring those issues into here cause it doesn’t matter at all.
@Cheek Chaser i’m black to. what are we assuming races now? 🤷♂️ there are plenty of blacks here on youtube that have successful youtube channels and companies that i support wholeheartedly. you’re just trying to start an argument for attention and i’m 99.9% you’re jealous to. 😄 there are plenty of other ways to support our race and culture but doing this isn’t.
@@lfc86 2 wrongs mush. firstly, i'm not ya mate. i don't know ya. any one who calls some one "mate" is "dodgy". as in "let me be the judge". secondly, have you been to every city in the whole world ? sshhh.
Its a great chippy, it shuts at 7 and doesn't open on weekends as its that busy during the week, be hard pressed to find a better one in the UK when its on form
Best chippy in Liverpool, should see the queues outside, they have another one in Muirhead Ave Liverpool too. The poached salmon, boiled rice n salad is perfect when I'm watching my weight.
2 types of people in this world, food review club who think they're a love child of James Corden and Gordon Ramsay and Danny who is just incredibly down to earth. This man is a legend.
@@ericnelly Junk food or not, this guy is reviewing food available at local fast food shops. Whether you want to eat the same food or the quantity, is up to you.
@@paulthrutner9114 I get the impression he films three or four a day, and he barely eat half of the meal, so it's not too bad if he's only eating takeaways two days a week. Also - YNWA
I thoroughly hope you’re making a right few Bob from these videos and make many, many more for a long time to come because you, unlike a load of others on here, deserve it for you and your kids big man. Salt of the earth, an absolute legend and a joy to watch. All the very best to you big man
Prithee Ashman, do you understand the craic? It's a uniquely Irish way of having fun amongst friends. If you've not been to Ireland, Black Bob can show you the ropes 🙂
I started watching at 8k subscribers and now Danny just feels like one of the family. The lad deserves all the good things coming his way. A proper Yorkshire gent. Most folk I know are as polite as him and say Ey up as much as him in the white rose county.
“I’m sorry Mr Barns.” “I bet this is gonna burn me’ gob”. “ That has done me straight in”. Keeping it real, Danny. You’re a star! Here’s to the next 200k! 🙏🇬🇧☀️🙏
@@runthomas and your point is? You're wrong, actually. Canadians, Australians, Americans and New Zealanders refer to them as expats. Perhaps you meant, "English speaking"? An immigrant tends to refer to someone who has moved to another country permanently. An expat, not necessarily so. I am an immigrant as well as an expat, so there's no need to be looking for perceived bigotry when there is none.
Just found this channel, not sure how I stumbled across it, but ended up watching a crap ton of his videos. I'm from the States, and have only been to the UK twice, so it's been really fun seeing the sights and different Takeaway food options reviewed. Well done! By the way, I miss those proper fish and chips...can't wait until I travel again.
The editing is truly exceptional when compared to the fact he is plopping down a table on the street munching on takeaway. Lucky for me I live in the north (Manchester) so I'm building up a list of places to visit.
And the cameraman, the walk away from the table to show the full exposition of the scene and the silly places Danny manages to set his table and chair down gets me every single time. 😂
Byrnes is the best Fish n Chip shop in the North end of Liverpool.. but The south end is definitely Steve's in Aigburth.. portion sizes are brilliant and can have a line half way down the street on a midweek day
@@laffey31 I did divide North and South Liverpool... Steve's is multi award winning and has been around for a good 50 maybe 60 years.. they know what their doin in there.. ain't been to Harry Giorgios so might give it a go just to see
I messaged my son yesterday, he lives in OHIO in the States and is due to come home for Xmas for 2 weeks, I said "when your home I am going to make you and your wife Duck Fries" thinking itll be something new for him. He messaged back an hour later "I saw Danny eat those yesterday" Bugger 😂🤣
Great service should be tipped, even if it's free advertisement for them.. The people working there might not be working there once it blows up, never know

Nothing better than an episode of Danny enjoying his food, panning the camera slowly away as he chuckles and mumbles to himself content with his meal......10/10! Congrats on 200K, can't wait to be congratulating you next week on 300K subs! :D
Hello fun to follow you. Discovered this. Channel and thought you were both nice and that you go around England is great fun !. We ourselves live in Gothenburg ( Sweden), but we do not miss any episodes, so thank you so much for posting this on RU-vid.
I'm from Liverpool and Byrnes Chippy is amazing! I'd be made up if you reply and I could recommend some other food places you could try while you are in Liverpool. Keep it up Danny!
@@billybigballs9208 i get mine from a friend sorry, if you dont know anywere you can wait around concert square on a saturday night, i got some there once.
Thanks for putting the culinary skills of my city on the map. The look on the face of the guy walking his dog as he sees some random bloke sat at a table on the street having his tea. Absolutely priceless 😁😂😂
I gotta say, I'm a vegetarian and am a subscriber to this channel and I know you've only done the one vegetarian takeaway so far, but I couldn't care less! You are genuinely a good easy watch and I love how genuine you seem to be, keep up the great work!
Danny huge congrats at reaching 200,000 subscribers. You are honest, funny and deserve every plaudit you get. Just go easy on the heavy food matey as I want to be able to watch your reviews for a good few years to come. You are a shining light in this time of a little darkness.
200k subs & very well deserved sir 🙌🏼 have to admit I’m not a huge foodie 🙈 but who cares ur videos always put a huge smile on my face & u r so lovable 🧡

@@humblebugg5270 Gave the curry sauce for free - and yet he only gives a 9 - he is not welcome here anymore in liverpool - he is a con man!!! Only gives ten to where he lives!!!!
Is it just me but when I go to the fish and chop shop I love watching them wrap the fish and chips in the newspaper something oddly satisfying about it 🤣
@ Dublin’s Fair City - no such thing as a red or blue area in Liverpool mate, you’ll find Liverpudlians and Evertonians not just living in the same street, but in the same house.
@Amy Bennett - I doubt there’s anyone living in this city Amy who hasn’t got supporters of both clubs in their extended family. Two or three generations ago in the days before football was shown on television and you didn’t need to re-mortgage your house to go a game it was very common for people to go and watch Liverpool and Everton on alternate weekends, so never mind the same street or the same household you often found red and blue within the same person! It’s a bit different now but when I was a little kid in the 70’s it was very common to come across old timers who supported both clubs, they just wanted the city to do well. Come derby day they probably had a sneaking preference for one or the other but every other weekend of year they wanted both clubs to win.
Haha no way I live in Cromwell st just at the back of him to the right. Byrnes chippy has been going for years and it’s always rammed. It’s not Anfield though Danny it’s Walton. Love this channel and love Danny
Fruit curry sauce!! Childhood favourite of mine, and that's in Scotland. seaside's, markets, always chips and a fruity curry sauce. And that portion you had looked like heaven lol
