Much love from India ❤️ trying out Indian food and as well as eating with hands shows the respect towards the culture that guys are following!! Try having Rasam with Rice, you'll definitely Love it and please do visit India, you'll definitely Love the food and traditions that's been followed in each state. Love your page and content.🙏❤️🇮🇳
@@Brissmom8670 It's very easy to make curry. Just look up a recipe online. It will take a few tries to get it right but that's part of the learning process.
Perfect timing. I swear, every time I feel sad Dancingbacons uploads and makes me feel so much better. I hope you get enough money from these videos. They make people like me feel a lot better when their day is rough. Love from California 🥰
@@jon1591Your condescension & lack of manners prove otherwise. Do you know what Asians who eat with chopsticks thought when they first learned about our cutlery ? That us Europeans were barn animals for eating with small 'pitchforks'. And we thought they were uncivilised for eating with 'sticks'. You having not evolved from this multiple century old viewpoint, must mean you are 12yo. This is the only acceptable way to excuse your lack of perspective, idiocy & rudeness. Each culture has its own manners. You are not better than everyone else, don't embarrassing yourself.
I'm so happy you survived the expired foods! This looked so yummy, thank you for both of you always taking us along to try new things and teach us so much.❤
@@jonothankaplan I'm housebound and elderly. I will never again get the chance to try new things in different countries. I love the Dancing Bacons because I get to share what they see and do. Don't be so dismissive of the pleasure they give others. You too may someday be grateful for people like them.
Everything looked wonderful. The fish head I couldn’t get around but I suppose if I was raised with fish heads at the table it would seem as common as meat and potatoes does to me here in the States. Always lovely accompanying both of you to restaurants, thank you, DancingBacons.
i feel the same way. But that is with all heads. I don't like the feeling the food is looking at me i suppose 🤣 Yes pretty sure it is just because we are not used to it.
@@rishikeshhinge5438 Hell fucking no. Fish head curry is very popular in the south and eastern states, or pretty much the eastern coast. Don't just think that North Indian is the only Indian culture.
Fish head curry is very porpular in West Bengal and Bangladesh as well but the way it is looking with its dead eyes and open jaw, I am sorry, i felt a bit disgusted. We usually clean the teeth, tongue, eyes and make small pieces in Bangladesh.
Bro, don't take it wrong but that's entirely wrong way of eating biriyani. Almost u mixed it with dal, fish curry & saalan. U cant enjoy its flavour with all those curries
That food look good. I've had the bread before, but that was it. I hope to try Indian food some time. Thanks for sharing your nice meal with us. Have a great week.
Hello!!! I loved the fact that you both had this meal by eating with your fingers, like typical Indians. Bravo!! And thank you for this video. Everything looked so yummy on the banana leaves. 🤩🤩
I love how you ate with your own hands and didn't use any spoon or fork. It's a tradition in India to eat with your hands as it is considered that it's taste better when we eat with our hands
@@laraisokay Glad you liked it, but what indian food in the US is mostly Punjabi/North Indian food. You should try restaurants that serve South Indian or east Indian food or Maharashtran food. You'll be surprised how different it is.
2:36 My father always says that we can enjoy our food when we eat it with our hands rather than with spoons and forks. But some people feel uncomfortable eating with hands. Happy to see you guys enjoying the Indian food 💜💜 You guys should try the Chats and Indian snacks too sometime 😍😍
The west use spoons as in earlier times due to the cold climes they found spoons as an alternative to avoid washing their hands. It became famous due to colonialism. In fact till early 19th century the west used corn cobs to clean their bottoms luckily it hasn’t become famous😂
@@satoshiketchump "Indian food" is an Umbrella term, it's like calling Italian and French food, European food. (For the diversity is as vast as Europe) So would you say, Siberian food is the same as French food, for both belongs to the same umbrella of Europe?
Hi, there's a need of correction. The bread that was referred to as naan was not really a naan but more like khamiri roti. A traditional naan would have more charr on it and is usually served buttered or with ghee (not mandatory) and has a whiter surface while khamiri roti as in the video has a smoother surface and is server plain with less charr on the surface. It is possible that the restaurant owners were confused themselves and named it wrong.
You are right, I am pretty surprised that someone noticed this, khamiri roti was a great part of Mughlai cuisine and I rarely see it now on the menus 😀
Biryani cannot be eaten with dal Or rasam. You should have tried it with chicken or prawns served. White rice with dal or rasam or potato fry or fish head curry is a great combination. I saw naans on the table, you should have tried them with curries provided. This is a personal suggestion to experience the flavors individually. I love your videos. Lots of love from 🇮🇳
Indian culture in Malaysia and the food is not going to be the same in India... They have their own style of eating... They are from Malaysia... Not India
Dancing bacon has my heart 🥺🥺💗💗 Please do more indian cuisine. It melts my heart to see you eat south indian food and that too properly with the banana leaf and everything. You made my day🥺💗
I love it... doing banana leaf rice properly with hands otherwise not authentic ❤ also, someone told me a long time ago, if you like the meal you should fold the banana leaf towards you, folding it away from you means you did not enjoy the meal.
Looks delicious! Have you tried an Indian thali? It's a great way to try multiple dishes. My parents are from India so we would visit every few years since we were young but haven't in some years since both grandparents have passed. I remember going to a similar restaurant and eating on banana leaves once as a kid. Certain smells here in the US will take me back to those fun summer visits and spending time with family
@@alainadacosta1222 no i am from Kerala(A malayalee)although my mom is a kerala konkani as her ancestors were from goa( they fled goa during portuguese rule) and settled in Kerala
As an Indian, when i saw the fork and spoons I was a bit disappointed. But when you guys started eating with your hands I physically jumped from my seat and felt so happy!
Looks good but my favourite restaurant would be at Banana Leaf Apollo at Serangoon. They serve just like this but more dishes and the fish cutlet potato is the best! Curry fish head is always a must!
Wonderful content as always and that looked absolutely delicious. Other people eating fish looks actually really good however I just do not have the taste for it myself even simple fish sticks my palete says no to.
1. I see most people outside have the misconceptions about Indian curry. It’s not curry gravy - both curry and gravy are the same thing and there are different varieties of curries in vegetarian and non vegetarian 2. You must eat the rice with one curry to get the real taste and flavour, it’s not a good idea to mix 2 curries with rice.
Ohh wow !! A new video that too of INDIAN food. And adding to that eating like typical indian people …. Thanx for respecting our culture. And love from INDIA. Waiting for your next video
Papadams are so much fun to cook! One tosses a flat little piece of pressed gram dough into a pan of hot oil and it does this amazing popcorn thing in that it inflates hugely and rapidly into a delightful crispy treat. They are tasty all by themselves and satisfyingly crunchy when freshly-done! Your meal and drinks looked so good, though the toothy fish head creeped me out a little!
A big hi to both of you I'm from India eating in banana leaf is a tradition in India we eat meals in the leaf for festivals and do visit India and taste our food love from India 😍
That curry looked so tasty! I love me a good cooked fish that's not over done, or too spicy. Good thing this kind of meal doesn't scare me if I ever tried something like it xD It more intrigues me than anything. I love seeing when a whole animal (edible parts at least) gets used. A lot of my friends get queasy when I mention stuff like this, lol.
Nice to see that finally you tried Indian food and you eating it with hands 👌👌👌. Food looking yummy. Wanted you to try more different types of Indian dishes.
Really glad to see tht u r trying our foods... N ya biryani cant be eaten with dal.. its much bttr with chicken or fish or mutton curry.. Lots of love from India
This looks very different and less diverse from what "sadya" really have. Probably it's not actual sadya, just meal on banana leaf. For the curious you can google "kerala sadya" and see.
lovely meal... done the same years ago at Apolo in Little India. Had almost the same, except I have to have raita when I eat Indian... Had to try the fish head curry as it's very good... cheers... well done vid...
Pls add more videos at a fast rate , i always wait for your videos. I go to other channels to watch this type of content, but never find it you guys r just the best 😀
@@aleenaprasannan2146 Many people here fish on their own everyday for recreation. Fresh water and ocean. Can get anything you want. It's also easy to buy whole fish.
@@aleenaprasannan2146 OK, but restaurants here get whole fish all the time, and some people like the head left on when it's cooked, especially trout, a freshwater fish. Most people here don't eat the heads though!
i dont comment a lot on these videos, but ive been a regular watcher for a few months now and i guess i felt like expressing my admiration for this channel lol for some reasons, if i have to do something else i would always find it nice to have one of those videos as background noise, it's like hanging out silently and we're doing nothing but vibing with yummi food, i like that
So when I was 4 or 5 years old whenever my mother used to cook our neighbours had a Banana tree so I used to ask for the Banana leaf from them and then enjoy the my food really happily. Fun days ☺️
Muito exótico comer com as mãos kkk Seus vídeos são ótimos e trazem muita cultura, diversidade e diversão para mim, que estou do outro lado do mundo, no Brasil!!!
Looks very delicious. I was wondering why I hadn’t seen any of your videos lately, then realized somehow I got unsubscribed. Got my sub back and mow have some catching up to do. Love your videos. Love the style you have, just simple eating without obnoxious voice overs. ❤️
Omg 4153 rs😱 here in kerala all this meal will nearly we can get under 500 rs ie, nearly $7 USD but in big restaurants also the orice will nearly goes to $16 USD ie 1200 rs
