Ebay J78 8 Watt security flood light bulb. Is it any good ?

I bought the bigger J118 version, back in Oct 2012, and it's now stopped working (4.5 years) and it cost me £10 looking on eBay, the'yr half that now! I can still hear the relay clicking over, so it may just be a corroded wire (it's on my "to do" list now)

an 8w is probably equivalent to a 75 to 100w... so not bad...
