Whatever they paid the film/editing crew to put this commercial together was worth it. They did a fantastic job and I'd gladly watch their other projects.
I rolled my eyes at first until I saw the optic mounting solution which have moveable lugs and doesn’t require suppressor height sights. Now that’s innovation! Now Springfield has my attention
I'm pissed and I think the pistols f****** stupid first off there's absolutely zero reason to mess with the XDM Elite line..... if it ain't broke don't f****** fix it... now they're floating their barrels so say goodbye to fully supported match-grade barrels that can handle heavy harmonics they should have chambered it in 57 in made of 57 XDM Elite the new slide cut for red dots are cool but then there's no Muzzle threads they should have never f***** with the XDM Elite line added slide cuts to it and muzzle threads and chambered it and something new like a 57 that would have been absolutely amazing and I guarantee you it will absolutely dominate every 57 out there that's ever been made including FNs.... and it would have been because of the fully supported match-grade barrels Witcher just a little thicker those Harmonix matched up with the ten are amazing them matched up with the 57 would have been Beyond laser accurate
Shadow systems did the universal optic mount design first. Just seems like other big brands are starting to do the same. Let’s see who else hops onboard!
They have definitely partnered up with a solid Croatian weapons manufacturer, this model (unlike the Hellion) is exactly the same in both countries, right down to the name.
@@MusicianZombie Exactly. There's nothing revolutionary about the Echelon, but I applaud HS Produkt and Springfield for bringing all the current trends together in one nice package. I hope it sell well and they make it in other calibers as well.
@@mikecumbo7531 I'd imagine this one is probably more Springfield than HS since this addresses the concerns of the American Market. Chances are the Croatians market isn't as opinionated or diverse the US market. That is purely conjecture though 🤷♂
@@Turbo.M777 just like my XD. I bet within the SA/HS contracts are a bunch of non disclosure agreements as far as which entity is actually the creative one.
When the Hellcat came out, I was impressed with the video for it. This one is right up there with it. Whoever is in charge of their marketing, give them a raise.
I really hope this pushes other manufacturers to follow suit, ramping up the competition against each other to produce some bad ass firearms. The Echelon, I think, will be a staple for the entire firearms industry. This commercial is also put together extremely well.
The innovation started with Sig Sauer. The Sig P320 was the first handgun to use a modular fire control unit - and it looks like this is Springfield's competing offering. Excited to see what comes next.
I'm really impressed when comparing this to a P320: - Multi-mount Red Dot Support (I'm very curious on the list of 30 supported optics) - Suppressor height Red Dot mount - Super low bore axis like a glock (man, the P320 has super high bore axis) I think they have a real winner here.
A lot safer than the P320 as well. At least this won't AD into your femoral artery holstered and you won't have to worry about it discharging when it's dropped.
Intrigued. I like how it's interchangeable with grip sizes and has a 17+1 round mag, like the Sig P365X Macro. The ambi idea is nice too. Well thought out.
I have a SAR9 and it came standard with two 17rd mags and interchangeable back and side grips - it’s what drew me to the gun - these are great attributes for a firearm but this thing has these and so much more, the super high grip angle/ ease of breakdown/ different stock sight configurations with that cutout in the rear sight/ slide flares… so sick
I went into this commercial thinking, meh, another striker fired 9mm, whoopee. I'm man enough to admit that I was wrong. This thing looks really, really good.....
Oh, this is beyond what I was hoping for! I was hoping for a new full sized pistol without the grip safety. ✅ I was not expecting a fully modular pistol like the Sig P320. That's just an extra bonus! I'll be buying one of these for sure
@@Taskorilla hopefully it's modular enough to cover all the bases. I would love to see some subcompact frames that could fit this and be easily concealable.
@springfieldarmory awesome to see the Hellcat grip texture employed on other platforms. Your XDM-Elite customers would love to see that transfer over so we don’t have to buy Talon grips every few years. Keep up the good work!
Great presentation in this video. The website description was full of the exact information I wanted to learn. Looking forward to more review videos and to see if there's any bugs to work out. Really enjoyed the two XD's I had a decade ago. Looking at deciding between this and a Walther pdp.
Second sear engagement for drop safety 🤔 Alex I will take what is fire pin safety for $1000 But yes improper holster fit push trigger back far enough back gun pushing in the fire pin safety and gun can go off
@Freedomishere-im6ug Which is why it's better not to get a P320 in the first place. Sig's QC has gone straight down the pisser for the last 23 years(since Sig USA became the "primary producer" of Sig Sauer firearms).
I gotta hand it to you Springfield, you nailed it. This follows market trends to exactly what cops, military, and shooters want in a modern pistol. Well done!
After watching this video this morning and IMMEDIATELY went to the gun store to get hands on with it to see if it was really all that.. And I can with 100% certainty, that is REALLY IS all that! They had 2 of them in stock too. Weird, when I left, they only had one :)
Looks to be better than Shadow Systems because this mount accepts enclosed optics as well, where the shadows only accept open emitter optics. SS now makes a slide for closed emitters but you have to buy a whole separate pistol…
More than one year later, this video alone cooks as if I was watching it for the first time. Rarely do you get a weapon like the Echelon for the price of a standard modern Glock. Tactical at its finest.
that was no Bud Light ad! I stove live my XD9, over 15k rounds through it, One jam…And of course I was shooting with my “ I love my Glock buddy”! 👍🏻👍🏻🤠🇺🇸🎬
I agree. The pistol looks fantastic, but careful attention to what is said and heard in the video makes it clear that the pistol is designed for home defense or duty carry by LEO. My prediction: a compact version by year's end.
I held the Echelon at a recent gun show….all I need to do now is test it at the gun range. If I am accurate with it and based on how good that bad boy felt in my hands, it’s going to be added with my other Springfield collection. 😊
The Beretta APX has been having a Chasis system, just like the Sig. 3rd party manufacturers are going to make or break the modularity. Hopefully some companies come out with cool designs.
Difference between this and the APX though, is the Echelon is now SA's flagship pistol so they're going to be throwing their money behind, whereas the 92 remains "The Beretta". The P320 has a solid aftermarket - again, SIG's flagship duty pistol.
@@gutblaster187 True and the P226 took a back seat. It's hard to do, Beretta 90 is basically the equivalent of a 1911. Oddly enough Beretta APX is one of the more popular guns in Europe and Nato approved. Their original APX just had a horrible design, and the new ones have a sub-par trigger. They are sub $500 but I think it would be better for them to go all in with better triggers. A performance model. I love my APX tactical more than my P320 and my P320 has like 2 grand in it. AXG, tuned springs, Apex trigger, etc.
@@emmw7794 Agreed that SIG has put the 226 on the backburner, only offering it in premium configurations that limit exposure of the platform to newer shooters who are not willing to spend over a grand on a range gun. In my opinion though, the gun has been always overpriced when, in terms of pure shooting experience, it offers somewhat less than the 92 or CZ 75. I'm not sure if the APX A1 has a bad trigger for what it is - I would describe it as a refined Glock-like trigger. The way I see it is, the APX A1 is Beretta's entry for modern contracts and thus a gun meant to satisfy all requirements at a competitive cost. We civilians enjoy light and short triggers, but I wonder if that is considered a positive in a duty gun, particularly outside the U.S. Notice that the PDP has won no major contracts. Also, I'm one of those types who preferred the serrations on the APX A0🙂 Regardless, any pistol Beretta only makes in Italy I understand as targeted broadly for the international, rather than primarily the American market. I do agree though that the gun would get a better reputation among enthusiasts if they would at least support trigger upgrades for sport use. The APX stands out among its peers for its impressive recoil absorption in my opinion, and a performance trigger would give civilians a complete package.
It looks interesting, but i have to note something. People are comparing it to glock and the sig p320, but I think it has more in common with the Beretta APX. It has a similar trigger design, albeit not as simple, similar outer look, and the low bore axis. The sig is just terrible for bore axis, glock is good, but the beretta is slightly lower.
Zero parts support. I bought two xd-s mod 2s, and I love them.. but what bothers me is Springfield doesn't have any parts support.. chip an extractor, tip of a striker breaks and you gotta ship it halfway around the world
It looks like a glock 17 had unprotected sex with the hellcat and gave birth to a handsome squidward. There’s a high chance I’ll buy one in the future.
Me last week: Hey honey I think I've gotten all the guns I've wanted. Her: Awesome, thank goodness! Me this week: Honey, we need to talk about the echelon...
Regretted selling my XD Mod 2 a few years back. Looking for a double stack pistol and this might be it. Hope it comes in for less than $700. Also, thanks for pronouncing ambidextrous correctly :P
came to this video wanting to hate it, not going to lie.... I hope this works out for the company. Sig has really been one of the only few companies pushing the bar in "innovation" im glad to see other companies come along. First Springfield being the first major production company giving a decently priced market for 2011's (no matter how good or bad it was they tried) now them competing with sig in innovating a simple almost un "innovatable" design. These two companies may actually force glock out of the 90's. Just waiting for a company to introduce a new firing system/design like glock did back in the day.
2.0 version should have top front slide serration all the way up to the logo, might as well finish that. Overall, it has a good look to it. Now make a prodigy 2.0 in .45ACP double stack 14 rounds pls.
