Inside of one of my sample slides, an all out war broke out between nematodes and earthworms, ultimately collapsing the entire ecosystem. This is that story.
I subbed a while back just to see this story and I think I'll stick around. Your presentation is spot on, and the content is intelligent. I'd love to see some experiments with changing a specific variable in multiple samples, and compare them with a control slide at regular intervals. It would be a great analog for much larger trophic cascades, and I'm sure I could find an excuse to add a card in some of my future videos that links to it. Keep it up!
@@micro_safari I suppose it would depend on what you can manipulate at such a small scale. Introducing or removing a species would be obvious but maybe chemically altering the soil would translate to a bottom up cascade?
