NBC Affliliate KING 5 Seattle is reporting “Mayhem” at EV repair shop as more early adopters experience battery death. The report follows that owners are abandoning their EVs because of costs and a lack of trained EV mechanics. This news report is coming from a TV station in the heart of a state that supports EVs. The reporter interviewed an EV mechanic who has these abandoned EVs. It does no good to the environment if an EV doesn’t last long.

4 EVs have above average reliability and is recommended according to Consumer Reports. They are NIssan Ariya, Porsche Taycan, Hyundai Ioniq 6 and Lexus RZ. No EVs have EXCELLENT reliability. 2 of these are IIHS Top Safety Picks (Ariya and RZ). I might be interested in an affordable hatchback EV that has excellent reliability and is an IIHS Top Safety pick so far this isn’t one.

One reason for Tesla cutting back on Super Charger investment could be new Teslas won’t need them? Maybe Tesla’s ranges are about to jump to a level good for 99.9% of daily journeys, even road trips. Tesla has a habit of surprising everyone. Maybe there’ll be more focus on overnight slow charging and installing fast chargers at supermarkets etc. Eventually EVs will have 600 miles or so of range and they will just automatically wirelessly charge in supermarket car parks, hotels and driveways.

So I offer you an idea, park your car in your garage, get a hose place the end on the exhaust and place the other end of the hose in your car wind up the windows close the doors and I will do the same in my Ev and lets see who will be walking out. Whether you like it or not the way of the combustion engine is ending, so stop barking your fear, ignorance and your ludism.
