Thanks for the video. I think this may be my issue. I bought a used ECU ad tried to match it to my key by shorting two pins on the OBD connector and waiting 30 minutes. It just does not work for me and I suspect the eeprom is full. That said, the "blue numbers", are they identified by the address they're located or by the value? That was not clear to me.

does this procedure work for keyless 2008 GS350 AWD? I lost my car key which is the only key I have.

If I had all the ignition parts from another car and replaced all my ignition parts in my car with those parts would I be able to use the new keys from the other car without having to reprogram anything?

hi there.. i have an 2002 toyota estima that i am doing up to get on the road.. it has been taking me some time and in the process lost my key... i have managed to get a non transponder key cut to the lock but obviously it still wont start.. should i buy a blank transponder key from ebay or should i get a second hand key .. getting the key to match the barrel is not a problem (i have pulled it apart and changed the wafers).. question ... do i need more than 1 key to program the ecu... in the video it shows 3 keys but are all three needed..

What if I cant locate ic900 chip?

if battery is disconnected, how would the key data be kept stored in the memory? it could remain in memory for a while without power, but not more then days. is there a seperate small battery in the module that proved powr for memory? since it is writable data, not factory set, its impossible this would be kept for ever without adding power. ofcourse this could be 10 years without power. there must be a way to clear the eeprom without needing to edit the bits in hex

we can leave the chip connected to the pcb, and just connect the pins to the computer serial cable.
