Get a sheet of plywood. Mount the old harness to plywood sheet out like a spider. Mark on plywood at each connector termination point. Put a screw at those points. Now you can route your wires from point A to B using the screws as your layout guide.

I'd put rubber isolating washers between ecu mounting plate and the bulkhead. that bulkhead will see lots of vibrations being close to the engine. Circuit boards do not like high frequency vibrations.

Lay the harness on a wooden board,cable tie it on and then copy it you get all the wires the right length then and easier to control than rolling about on the floor 👍

OCD overkill would be paint the board white and use a digital projector to overlay the schematic.

@@charliepotatoes001 No lengths shown. Better to lay out the old harness on a board with nails and then delete the wires and branches you don't need. Then add the new wires and branches for the new items. Some of the new ones have to be overlong until a trial fit. @Mike I am currently looking at having to completely rewire my electric scooter with no help from orignal manufacturer. Online resources are also scarce for my old model from 2010. It's a Daymak Cario. Basically a copy of the classic Honda Supercub. So getting mechanicle parts are not so bad but the motor controler maybe shot. 48 volts dc coupled into a 500 watt motor of questionable status with little documentation to go by seemed daunting until I saw Sarah tackle her wiring nightmare and triumphed over the chaos. Gives me hope.

If you're using the portable AC from your home garage, you need to make it dual hose. The condenser intake needs to take air from the outside via a hose, not from your cooled garage/shop.
@TheExactlyatmidnight
@TheExactlyatmidnight 3 года назад
?Interesting: could you explain the reason?
@rcboosted
@rcboosted 3 года назад
@@TheExactlyatmidnight I don't want to clog up her channel, but basically the hot air being pumped out via the hose needs to come from somewhere. If you intake from within the room, you're taking the chilled air, and pushing it out, plus the negative pressure will get filled by the hot air outside via leaks from doors, windows etc. If you intake from a hose from outside, your chilled air stays chilled.
