McFlash I didn’t say nothing about being brave. And actually quick history lesson all indigenous people people are melanated of what we all call black. historydaily.org/etruscan-history-black-romans Look up the Moors as well. The story that we all know today has been changed as well. That’s why they call it HIS-Story. They(Colonizers/Caucasians) just took over the place (Europe) like they took over America, And every where else. Just in case you didn’t know😂👍🏾
StuUngar It's a good thing that you corrected someone making a special note about the African-American community, otherwise they might have thought that they could own the world after this. We can't say that Bruce Lee meant a lot to the African-American community, because Bruce Lee meant a lot to EVERY community! Black lives don't matter! ALL lives matter! But black people aren't allowed to exalt black people because they're not white.
Kenneth Webster II I’m guessing your comment was meant as sarcastic because you seem to think I was taking a subtle jab at black people. One, my comment had nothing to do with BLM or anything of that sort. Two, I’m not white. Three, my comment was literally what it said. In my experience, Bruce Lee is loved by every group and ethnicity. For example, Bruce Lee is insanely popular in Japan and Korea. Both countries have long histories of either prejudice or conflict with the Chinese. Japanese people loving Bruce Lee is almost like Israeli having a Muslim hero. That goes to show the impact Bruce Lee had and how he was able to cross racial and cultural boundaries through his art. Saying Bruce Lee means a lot to African American culture is like saying Michael Jordan or Michael Jackson meant a lot to the Chinese culture. Some people are global icons and mean a lot to everyone regardless of race or religion. Funny that you took that as veiled racism. But we live in a society where everyone wants to be offended....
SakurabaStyle39 Conor McGregor is a product of EVOLVED MMA. Bruce is the beginning. if Bruce was where Conor is now, I don't know. I think Bruce has it.
Little known fact: Bruce actually was 1/4 German. When he was a kid, in China, he was teased and bullied mercilessly because he wasn't "pure Chinese." This has a lot to do with why, and we all can be thankful for it -- he became such a badass fighter...
Yeah but he never claimed his German side. His grandpa (a rich German) was never in the picture when it came to his mom because rumors have it that Bruce Lee's mom was born out of wedlock so bruce said "kiss my ass gramps. I'm chinese."
@@teti_99 I don't know anything about Bruce's internal, family drama. What I do know is that Bruce was very much aware of the Chinese reputation as "the weak man of Asia," especially during the first half of the twentieth century when China was brutalized by the Japanese during WWII. Bruce was strongly incentivized to prove on the world stage, both in movies and tournaments, that the Chinese could compete forcefully and skillfully.
Bruce Lee...yes. The guy known as Barack Obama who is actually Barry Soetoro and a complete fabricated fake that helped divide America and drive racism back over 80+ years...no. Love Eddie's presentation here for Bruce...a great tribute.
FYI - In the U.S., "Fists of Fury" was released as "The Chinese Connection", and "The Big Boss" was released as "Fist of Fury". Hence, all the title confusion.
@@TheIslandstyle11 He is right. They are the same. Back in my country, this movie was sold as Fist of Fury, but it is Chinese Connection here in the US.
@@TheIslandstyle11 he's not saying they are the same movie, he's saying there was mix up with the titles so the actual movie Fists of Fury was released as The Chinese Connection while the actual movie Big Boss was released as Fists of Fury
Yes...the movie clip showed above is fist of fury...but this comedian, the reference he is talking about is when Han is sending his henchman after bruce...ending of enter the dragon. Guy who posted the comment is talking about enter the dragon....read other comments
I literally modeled myself from the Blaxploitation films/characters and Kung-fu characters like Bruce Lee, The Venom Mob etc. Not having a Father in the home you look else where to learn masculinity and how to carry yourself like a man. Also I picked up on fighting and how to defend myself because as a young boy alway to adulthood you have to learn how to defend yourself especially during my childhood because you had shootings but it was still more about fighting with your hands. RIP to Bruce Lee and much respect to one of the funniest comedians the world has ever been a witness to Eddie G.
+Bruce Actually he used both movies. Weren't you paying attention to the cuts into Fists of Fury? But when he was talking about the guys sent in to get him "Wang, Chang..." and the second set that was Enter the Dragon. And Chinese Connection was the title used for the version of Fist of Fury without the English subtitles.
+JUST LEE It's one of those things about marketing for different audiences. It was Chinese Connection outside of the Asian market. What you know as Fists of Fury was the Big Boss.
WRONG. He's doing the stereotypical ignorant-of-Asians thing of mixing up Japanese and Chinese culture. He CLEARLY says "dojo" (a JAPANESE training hall), then starts spewing out Chinese-sounding names. If anything, he's mashing up Chinese Connection (which was the US title of fist of fury) AND Enter the Dragon.
+John Q. Citizen Regardless of what "he's doing" the movie included Japanese and Chinese culture. The scene did take place in a dojo where Japanese martial arts were taught. You do recall it showed a period Japanese control over Shanghai.
Anyone who likes Bruce should see IP Man, if you haven't already seen it. It's on Netflix. IP Man was Bruce's teacher. The movie begins in China in the 30s, just before the Japanese arrive. Imo it's the best modern kung fu movie out there. Period. It stars Donnie Yen, who later played the blind kung fu guy in Rogue One.
@@dragonballsuper1519 damn right, the character of Chen Zen is played by 3 best Actor-martial artist in Kungfu movie history. Bruce, Jet and Donnie. Jet version is still my fav
Eddie does give us white boys the business sometimes, but he makes me laugh so hard. I can't smoke weed and watch him. Or Bodden. Or Roy Wood, Roy has my funny number and I have to turn him off sometimes. Lavell, god bless his soul, was the same.
Excellence was what brotha was showing. Bruce lee amazing man never truly loved alive but dead another story , minority’s strong word right. Classification, or class ( meaning poor) Us ( huh ) unified ( United) I like that one! When will that happen , America loves everyone but Americans . Ever start a new job .
I think Bruce learnt a lotta street lingo from blck pple when he first went to the US. His first student was Jesse glover, think he also said tht in one of his interviews
I'm working on a joke about Bruce Lee being born premature but need one detail. the punchline is his mother's water broke after his first "the baby kicked" moment and can't figure out when exactly an in utero baby starts that.
