This past week I've listened to the first 8 episodes of "Weekly Planet" from about 6 years ago. It's funny: the sound quality has improved a lot, but otherwise the show sounds exactly the same. James and Nick will be James and Nick. Gotta love 'em!
I loved The Boondock Saints when i was a kid and i tried re-watching it a few years ago with a friend of mine and i was like "Ohh...this is...these are all really bad people and this is an offensive movie" Also I can't bloody beliiiieeeeeve ya missed out on A Clockwork Orange how could youuuu
The first show to show a couple in the same bed was the Flintstones. Also how dare you not watch Queen of the Damned for this. It deserves to be torn apart Weekly Planet style. Also good on ya, thanks for being great guys.
Agreed, Jonah Hill can get over himself, because he isn't worth $10,000,000 or even $5,000,000. I haven't seen him do anything good enough to even attempt to negotiate such a deal.
If they are doing the multiverse then bring back Choby Maguire and Andrew Garfield for a film with all three in their respective suits. I'd want a live tv series Spider-man and Supaidāman (Japanese Spider-man with giant robot) cameos as well.
I just want the pandering Spiderman Universe money that had all three live action stars, maybe one being a villain at the point in their universe, and have Miles in full animation running around NYC akin to Roger Rabbit.
So my pitch for Spider-Man, at the end of his MCU run he gets flung into the spierverse, from there he is trying to get home to his own MCU reality, like the 90s show Sliders. (whispers) "Spiders" ;-)

Here are a few movies I dont know if they're edgy? So to say but they are movies that are created with the pure purpose of making a point and it turns out I've watched a ton of movies like that. Some of these movies should be taught in schools, others start great and become horrible and others are just bad. Mason said "Name something worse than Birds of Prey?" And James had no answer. What about that made for tv Justice League movie? That was awful. Remember fat Martian Manhunter or awful shrunk Atom? At least with Birds of Prey it seemed like they were trying or somewhat knew the source material lol.

Overall, an edgy movie ages well if it has any self awareness about the attitudes of the main characters. Life of Brian has aged excellently for this reason. American Psycho draws a hardline that its protagonist is a terrible person, ages well. Donnie Darko is not self aware at all, ages poorly. Donnie is a hero for dying in an accident he has no control over. Fight Club, mixed results. The movie is far less self aware than the book. The author has since sided with the movie, and most of his bibliography demonstrates he really isn't as self aware as he was when his protagonist originally surrendered and sought treatment for his clear mental illness in the original novel. Does Fight Club have valid complaints about masculinity in the United States' Capitalist society? Yes. Does it handle the issue well? Not even a little. Violence being the traditional mechanism for men to process their emotions does not make it the right or healthy option for self improvement. The book and movie aren't shy in demonstrating the life and death cost of violence as a political motivator. The movie, (and eventually the author), both side with violence as an ultimately effective, and heroic way of inflicting political change. That's the ultimate way in which it fails. Having a hyper-masculine fraud create a cult of personality in the United States doesn't have the same taste in 2019 that it did in the 1990s.
I don't care about the cliffhanger, didn't quite like that. I just want all Marvel properties (created by Marvel) to be acquired/purchased/brought back to Marvel. When that happens, anything is possible within the multiverse for characters to interact or at least reference each other. If that means Disney would divest something to get it, fine. It's been so long that some folks erroneously attribute Spider Man as a Sony creation, no they just signed a devil's contract.
hollandscottthomas I took edgy as in films people often referred to in a counter culture film sense. Having watched these movies at the time would make you sound cool and not a part of the norm.
