I love the sound of HS8! I feel relaxed with HS8's sound. The bass of S360DB is too much, and the mids not as good. I'm planning to upgrade my pc speakers, but HS8 is too big for me. I'm only about half meter from the speakers, so maybe a 2.1 system will do. Besides Edifier, pls also test a Swan 2.1 system. Swan M50W MKIII is the newest model.

ahh those HS8's are beautiful. Deep bass, and tight. I assume the subwoofer on the s360DB is adjustable? I wonder how it would sound turned down just a bit? Sure sounds good in long night with that strong deep bass. Truth is you're getting a presence with a larger set of stereo speakers than you will with a smaller 2.1 system with a big woofer. Though woofers can be fun too in situations like some games and movies.

The HS8 are the winner of your channel for the entire history. They are the most versatile active speaker setup that sounds good across all genres of music at least that your mics pickup. I absolutely love them!

Typical with the large bookshelves vs the medium bookshelves + woofer. You get the fuller sound with the bigger ones, but you get better and brighter highs and punchier, more precise lows with the 2.1. Comes down to preference I suppose.

that 2.1 seems loose some mid freq, i'm not surprised about that.

А где же АЧХ??? Да и надо было хотя бы микрофоны по центру каждого испытуемого ставить. У 360 звук от этого очень сильно зависит.

Yamaha HS7 has the most neutral sound and so far the best (budget) choice for audiophiles

Even through smartphone speakers Yamaha sounds closer to original ^^

For gaming/movies/music on computer i choose 2.1 (better bass) For studio monitor 2.0

Yamaha HS8 will always prevail over any Edifier's Product in terms of Accuracy, cause Edifiers are are mainly Hi-Fi -ish speakers and the Yamaha is mainly near-field studio monitor.... Other purpose of use. Yamaha is more SPECIFIC.... as sound enginner, no question of which I perefer...it's obvious I think.... :-) As always good job! Well done!

Out of all speakers on this channel Yamaha HS8 is one of the best I have heard. This Edifier seems to have a really nice tweeter and lots of bass. Too much bass for my taste though, balance suffers.

hs8 for pc is good choice?

my hands on H8. The S360 subwoofer is... not really blended.

Just due to driver and cabinet size alone, this looks like an apples and oranges comparison.

S360db seems to have more hight and space overall, with much more impact on the lower hights. Hoever, HS8, which are more expensive, sound maybe more balanced. Seriously lacks bass though, and with the optional boomer, you are over 1000$... not exactly in the same league.

Edifier just too much bass opposite to mid-range on treble ,good for movies but not for critical or serious music listening i think. Maybe eq down subwoofer by like 4-6dB and it would be much better

I don't understand the point of this review. This isn't even a proper comparison of 2 products in the same class. The Edifier is a bookshelf speaker system for music enthusiasts or budget entry level Hi-Fi consumers - you can literally fit them easily on a bookshelf or a work/PC desk or even a big room or living room. Accordingly it has a wireless subwoofer for you to place according to your convenience and bluetooth and other functionality. The Yamahas are monitor speakers for accurate sound reproduction. Each of them are way larger than the Edifer subwoofer+single speaker combined! The Yamaha will never fit on a desk or bookshelf. They need speaker stands for elevation off the floor. In terms of price, the Yamaha speakers have to be bought in pairs, which means that they cost WAY WAY WAY more than the Edifiers - nearly double! Don't really understand the point of this review except to show that Edifier can make something for much less money, size and volume and yet produce very excellent sound close to that of monitor speakers used by professional musicians!

Edifier wins as you can lower or increase the bass if your concern is bass. Both have good highs and mids

For the 1st battle, HS8 loose this time in my opinion, so closed but little bit flatter. If edifier may have less bass, it will be really good

Hifi vs Studio Monitor i dont like this Sound Comparison Hifi vs Studio Monitor 2 Different Category for 2 Type of Using. Like Notebook vs. Desktop Computer! Hs 8 is always great in his own Category!

1:45 - играет нормально и правильно гитара ведь эта песня именно про гитару + тарелки, как только переход на 360 - гитара уходит куда то на 3 план выпячивается низ и верх! средина отодвигается на 3 план! чувство будто там кто то закрыл сч динамик и как такое дерьмо вы слушаете? ну явный огромный провал на средине у 360. я эту песню слышал на разных колонках! там играет электо гитара на переднем плане - ибо песня МАТАЛЛ!!!!!!!!!!!

Послушайте второй трек 360 - тупо отсутствует электрогитара !!! классная акустика... _____ Колонки с 8 дюймовым нч двух полосные играют все частоты в отличии от 360 у которой нет средины с наличием сч динамика)
