Jordan says "did you see it?" with the same energy of your partner saying "can you tell the difference?" and it makes me break out in cold sweat every time, desperately searching for the right answer rjgndnf
@@PinkGrammarGirl the screen on the right showed the black line when it was supposed to be a full-screen clip. Besides, that take was very bad as none of the members were synchronized and the member at the very end on the right side was way too early on the choreo.
Gilrs' Generation is one of my favorite mistakes ever. They fixed it pretty much immediately, but for at least an hour or three, we were blessed with Gilrs' Generation.
The fact that the lion didn't open his mouth while the roaring sound was played in the girl's generation m/v and was the only mistake I could find without jordan telling us🤣🤣🤣🤣 Honestly it is one of the 2 errors I could find out of 5. The second one was Jennie losing her hat while editing cuts in the kill this love m/v
This was one of the most fun videos you've ever uploaded. A video suggestion: what if you reacted to the most-viewed old (first or second gen) videos and rated their editing? It would be cool comparing videos from then to now, and it would make new kpop stans aware of how cool and/or cringey MVs from back in the day looked like.
Another mistake in Drunk-Dazed is that throughout certain shots in the final chorus, Sunoo's ring is caught on his coat which restricts his movement. It's not super noticeable but it does affect continuity a little bit
we editors oftenly see our mistakes before sending in to the client, but sometimes we're just too tired to think of a way of solving it, honestly. and if its small enough for only a few people to notice we simply let it pass
Just realized that Jordan is only about 250k away from 1milion subs, and it’s honestly so deserved 😭 the amount of stuff I learned about editing and camera work thanks to Jordan is crazy
Also, with Lion Heart, two years ago SM reuploaded a lot of SNSD's videos and they claimed it would enhance them and give them that 1080 HD quality everyone is use to now a days. People started freaking out because they were worried they would cut out all of the stuff with Jessica but then we lost it when Into the New World was HD and everyone kind of was okay. That re-upload is what you saw with the fix.
Having watched Eve, Psyche, and The Bluebeard's wife on repeat since its release I definitely noticed the freeze frame at the beginning and was really anticipating Jordan's reaction to that one lol
I've watched Eve, Psyche, and the Bluebeard's wife a thousand times and that mistake stands out to me every single time! There's also a weird cut on the first chorus that I think was just sloppy editing, I don't really see the purpose for it but A REACTION WOULD BE AWESOME Also the pain I feel when he kept bringing up continuity errors, I'm editing a few small-budget things now and the continuity errors are EVERYWHERE it's so hard to cover up and it pains me sometimes if I have to get another shot
13:52 actually, I saw another mistake. In the scene where she's cutting the pole, the far scene, she's cutting from behind the pole, and when it zooms in, she's cutting from the front of the pole
I remember when they had to swap Irene and Seulgi’s Monster MV with a different one because the editors left in a nip slip. We also got that original video several hours late without any updates on the fact that it was late. All-in-all a very unprofessional moment. Fans were, understandably, *super* mad.
Okay. So i got 4 mistakes out of five. And they are::: 1. They wrote cereals instead of series on right top. 2. At 10:31 in the left bottom corner we have 2 arrows instead of 1. 3. And when he was introducing his sponsor his hair changed. Continuity Jordan Continuity🤌🏻 4. At 5:58 the screen divided into 2 parts. First one is camera shot and second one is the sponsor’s website. 5. Couldn’t find this one. Gotta sleeep. Gudnait peepoool❤
5:50 it could be that the chirping sounds still going when changing from road trip video to Jordan talking bc the other sound effects go down until disappear
not sure if it was intentional or if i'm going insane but isn't 15:16's video sorta corrupted? i don't think trying to get it on beat would result in that sort of look lol
9:00 nayeon's hairstyle was also different during the cuts. In the first shot, her hair was tied and in the zoomed out shot, her hair was braided, then tied again on the next shot.
My favorite is Purple Kiss's Zombie. They make a whole deal of "B" words during the chorus with bright English text on the screen... and then at 2:18, when Dosie is holding up a cut of beef, they spell it "beaf" 🤣
my thoughts on the enhypen mistake: to me, the lights are so early on beat that it seems it was intentional. i've heard of cartoons using a technique where they introduce a villain or some antagonist while using elements that are offbeat or even on the down beat to create a sense of uneasiness? what if thats what the editor was trying to do, create a sense in the viewer that something is clearly wrong and then at the end we process that enhypen member showing up outta nowhere?
I know you deleted the polls for what to react to next, but Knock by Chae Yeon would be a great video for your editing insight. And a great Dance Therapy song!
12:07 in this part i think they filmed the whole dance break without cutting and not just filmed the dance break when they were five, because the other members were supposed to be on the side
One that gets me every time, is Purple Kiss' Zombie mv... words that start with B are shown at the bottom of the screen throughout the video and on one of them they misspelled Beef with Beaf... BUT they recently released the Japanese version and someone corrected it. 😄
I think I've noticed only 2 out of all the video, lol. This was a refreshing take because we always view K-Pop MV as perfected, visual piece, and I'm glad to see there's still a human error to it.
I JUST noticed the Drunk Dazed one last night!! I make gifsets which involves a lot of frame by frame stuff and I went “wait;;;;;; oop” Edit-it’s not just the timing that’s wrong! There’s a single frame where the lighting doesn’t match-K’s side is dark and Sunoo’s is light. It’s only a single frame or two so it’s not noticeable enough unless you know it’s there…..but now I know it’s there and can’t stop seeing it lol
Now this is an interesting take on Kpop MV reviews. It was my first video of yours so ig they're being recommended recently. Hope you make a part 2 sometime!
Mr. Simple MV had more fails, and I noticed them cause I watched the MV multiple times when it was released, focused on each member, so I saw all of their mistakes 😂😂
Literally I've watched those videos a million times and also he's showing the part of the video which has the mistake, and yet i cannot identify it until he exactly spots it lol
the fact that ive never noticed any of these and have watched all these videos a hundred times just goes to show i dont pay attention to anything around me
The one mistake I IMMEDIATELY noticed in a Kpop MV was in T-ARA’s Do You Know Me? In the refrain before the “rap section” you can see Jiyeon holding a glass and a bottle. They swap what hand they’re in several times.
All of PRISTIN’s songs were fantastic. I’m actually watching a drama with Pinky in it. She plays this whiny younger sister. She’s a very good actress lol. (I know she doesn’t go by Pinky anymore, Zhou Jieqiong)
If any genre of media can have terrible editing, its kdramas... I would love to see you react to some because I have seen some really bad mistakes in shows that I've watched lol
I also found an editing mistake on Blackpink's Pink Venom MV at around 0:08, upper left of the screen. The editor probably forgot to somehow scale the frame properly to fit the clip. Very small mistake tho.
The beauty of editing is that it's a job where even if you make tiny mistakes, it'll mostly go unnoticed, and if you make it perfect, then it's an extremely satisfying result.
i was waiting for one mistake i saw years ago to show up but here: in SISTAR - Alone, during 2:14 one of the dancers on the left side get the choreo wrong (or her shoe failed her, idk, her leg wasn't doing the thing) and THEY JUST LEFT THE SHOT AND USE A CUT IN THE NEXT SECOND you're welcome
Not sure if the mistake is still there anymore, but in Mamamoo's Egotistic MV there was a group shot of the girls dancing together but Solar was wearing slippers and u could see it for a quick second 😂
The way I didn’t find a single mistake in any of them even when you replayed them multiple times, before saying what the problem was😭 I know it’s your job to find and fix those issues but it still blows me away everytime you find them!
I don't know if you noticed, but in "Boy in love" music video Suga didn't dissappear suddenly. When other members jumped on the couch, 1:33 he came out from behind and then started his part at the new dark piano location.
I do agree with every single editing mistake that he listed out, I was very surprised that I missed so many obvious mistakes in those MV that I've watched for hundreds of times. But I don't think that the scene in Tribe - Dom Dom Ta MV is a continuity editing mistake. The intention of it is to show the consequence first, and then the reason after it.
