Part One of two short travel videos. (The next one to be posted June 22 2023) The color balance may be off, the resolution poor - but these images from my May 1982 visit to western China and to the "Autonomous Region" of Xinjiang portray a very different part of the country. We visited at this time Urumchi, Turfan (Turpan), Bezeklik, Gaochang and areas around the Taklamakan Desert. So much has changed since 1982.
