I was forced to believe and indoctrinated at School throughout my childhood that Marcos was a thief, tyrant, and murderer and that Aquino was a saint, a savior, queen of democracy, salvation of the country, and her husband Ninoy was a martyr. The promise of the EDSA 86 to bring back democracy to the hands of the people, the promise of a better life, and the promise to end corruption and abuse of power from the Government is up today, a dream that is far from reality.
