This is an Edwin Jagger DE89 BARLEY. The best there is. I have had one for 3-4 years, and will never ever search for another razor again. Top Marks from me 10/10

I've been DE shaving for about two and a half years now and have only used the Edwin Jagger DE89L That was until today when I took delivery of a Merkur 39C slant, I couldn't believe how much more aggressive it was even using my got to blade the standard Wilkinson Sword. With the DE89L I do a 5 pass shave, " with the grain, 2 across the grain and 1 against the grain. With the 39C the 1st pass with the grain took almost every hair off I couldn't believe it and after 1 across the grain pass that was my shave finished. I think the Merkur 39C slant was just the right step up in aggressiom for me and i'm so pleased I didn't buy my other choice the Merkur future, Maybe next time

Good Shave Mr.Paul...Let there be light....But not to much...The sun is good for peppers and tomatoes...lol...my go to razor...De 89...or the 34C...I would like to see a stainless version of both....The flowers were nice but the lighting kept them in the dark...Yes I'm a nag,but honest...Go have a cup of tea and I'll see you Sunday cheers !

Yesterday I used maca root vream, a voskhod blade in my Merkur 34C. Voskhod blades are "dirt-cheap" and work ok, but my goto blade is the Gilette 7 o'clock sharp edge, as they seem to go very well with the 34C). Thanks Paul, always an inspiration.

Can confirm the Red Tube Palmolive you have there is the same as the standard Green Tube Palmolive classic. I bought the Red Tube from Maggard and had an employee bring me back a green tube on a recent trip to the UK. Exact same. Palmolive also makes a green tube version with Menthol.

Great shave and lovely flowers too! Gladioli are called that because their leaves are sword shaped and gladium is Latin for sword. I like them anyway amongst my favourites. You are dead right about Palmolive too dirt cheap but great stuff - Tesco still have the sticks for 50p - I would have bought some if I didn't have so many already.

Another beautiful floral arrangement by Mrs H who seemed to predict you would be using the official red and green colors of Palmolive shaving cream! Just to clarify the Palmolive situation, the one in the green tube has added menthol while the Classica you're using doesn't. The formulas are also slightly different and the moisturizing version from India has yet a different formula. I see you've taken up my suggestion to try different blades in your videos. As Kevy Shaves now realizes, I think you'll be surprised at how smooth the Polsilver Super Iridium's are shaving with other brands for awhile. Thanks to a screen capture @ 1:27. I was able to tell which one they sent you. It's the Edwin Jagger Chrome Knurled DE Razor (Model #:DE89KN14), There's a similar one which is a bit more expensive called the Edwin Jagger 3D Laser Diamond DE Razor (Model #:DE3D14bl). Although they both appear to have diamond handles, the bottom on the Diamond DE also has a diamond finish, whereas the model you have has the lined finish. So many questions abiout us. But I ask you, Paul, how are you? Today, good lighting, not hinder but rather helps.) Gladiolus, rarely, big, holiday flowers. I like them. But even more I love how the cream works to shave Palmolive. I recently shaved with soap Palmolive, and got a lot of pleasure. This is good. Not dries and becomes a delicious oil.) Lather so rich, like white mask.)

I believe the red Palmolive is for the Italian Market. I really need to use this more often, you make is look so enjoyable. Issue is, with all of the awesome artisan soaps, these fall at the waist side.

Yesterday's walk was wonderful, and when my wife seen those apples near the castle she said she would have been up that wall like a squirrel! I told her she would have ended up in the stockade or dungeon! Our previous home had a skylight in the bathroom and that worked real well, even on moonlight nights. The morning light is nice though, and I like a window that I can open. Off for coffee and then a shave, I can't wait! Take care, and thanks for all your videos Paul!

Funny thing is that if you mention Palmolive here in the US, most people would think of dishwashing soap. I never knew that they made shaving soap before I started DE shaving. One of these days I'm going to have to get one of their shaving sticks.

I have tried many different blades and the Shark are in my top 5 faves. Shark Chrome however is far inferior. Sometimes Palmolive is all you could wish for!

Good video Paul, thank you. I haven't tried a Shark blade but after watching your video I will be giving them a try. I have been shaving this week with my 1960 Fatboy and a Feather blade. I wasn't sure if they would be a good match, but they are and I am getting some amazing shaves.

Nice video and flowers. Recently upped my game with an open comb razor, but should've used my tea tree oil for a pre shave. That would've made the shave more comfortable. It was a good shave overall, but I had a couple of bleeders. Thankfully, my alum block worked well.

The DE89 head is the best every day use head I've used to date.

Good shave yet again Paul, it's good to get back to standard shave gear sometimes. No need for all the fanciest creams and brushes and razors to get a good shave done. Also glad to see you use shark, that's my usual blade and I love them. Have a good week!

Another great video Paul! The Edwin Jagger is very similar to the razor I've got as my first one which is from "Sharpy England" I'm not sure if you've heard of them. It's a very well me razor as well. Also waiting on my shipment of blades and colognes. I'm hooked to this new way of shaving. Mrs H has done a great job with those flowers a swell beautiful.

Paul, have you heard of the Rapira Platinum Lux razor (not blade)? You can find them on eBay for pretty cheap, and word is they're more aggressive than the R41. It's probably a lot like shaving with a DEvette, I imagine, that is a guardless DE razor.

The Aqua Colonia Lemon & Ginger looks like a high end liqueur. I think some of the fools around here would try to drink it.. ;D

I just used acquired this same Palmolive Cream from a buddy. I was pleasantly surprised by its performance. Paul have you ever used Gada Cream before? Very excellent soap that's sold in Lebanese groceries.

Paul, glad you had another good shave. I've never got along well with the Shark blades. I find them a bit rough, though they're sharp. It's interesting to find that the red tube Palmolive is the same, or very similar, to the green tube. My shave tonight was the Gillette Aristocrat with a Feather blade and Captain's Choice North. Nice work Paul. Always nice to watch and listen to you and learn from your shaving. I have suggestion for you: could you try some basic market shaving foam like Gillette Regular Foam. Would be interesting to hear you comments how it performs with DE razor in your opinion.

I know this is actually your Tuesday shave, so here's my shave from yesterday. The Tabac lather technique description was inserted for a few friends. I watched a previous Tabac video of yours and you lathered right from the puck. Tabac loves water and a little goes a very long way with just a few extra drops after building the peak.
