EEG with Left Lateralized Periodic Discharges (L-LPDs) 

My name is Jared Beckwith, I’m a registered EEG technologist. In this video I review an EEG of a patient with a subdural hematoma. The blood sitting in the subdural space is irritating the brain, and causing epileptic activity in that area. The EEG record show left lateralized periodic discharges. This patient will be on continuous EEG monitoring to adjust anti epileptic drugs, and attempt to stop the periodic discharges.
