yeah i learned to just do my art, make a quick tiktok and short youtube video for reference for potential clients. Then have a website and just enjoy painting

@@driesketels eeeeeh. Im a professional procrastinator as well so i haven't had a chance to do that yet. I'm just now finding my style of painting and its definitely a fixed goal. BTW we should do a live chat some day. I've got some fun ideas if you're up for it

The most I ever made off of a client was 3k in a month...but that lost it's momentum. I'm a CALIFORNIA based illustrator /mural artist. My work ranges from cartooning to realism ..25 yrs have gone into this thing we call art. I hear a lot of big figures on these videos ...I'm curious with a such a vast online wave of artist can we really do this full time ? I'm a single father of two. Doing what I love with the current state of the world , not being so great ...being a full time artist 10k a month...almost seems too easy.. pardon my skepticism, and I dont suck at art and yet I find it so difficult to gain traction.. This was all a hobby and eventually some people would hire me for odd jobs murals ,portraits and logo designs...with that said, it's never a stream line of one thing. I'm open to learning more. Hey Erick, nice to e-meet you. I hear you, there are a lot of artists for sure, art might even be the most saturated marketplace on the planet. I should probably make a video talking more about this, the issue that comes with people online that make it look easy when in fact it's a very hard and difficult journey.

IDEA Dries - Go through ALL your videos from the beginning and select a 5sec clip of advice from each video. Then add it all together as a collective fun video. Just my idea my Art friend

Great idea David. I'm not sure if I want to make compilation videos from my own videos though. I hope to get towards a point where some other person in the world feels inspired to make that compilation video and post it on their own channel.... One day my friend, one day😁

I don't care about subscriber count David but at the moment I'm not searching for channel collabs or anything. Perhaps one day, that would be cool for sure. ps: You obviously get my permission to make a compilation video and I can guarantee you that I wouldn't flag it for copyright things or anything like that.

Yes, there are lots of those but usually they are more of a scam because then they charge 'massive' upload fees which is worse for beginners and worse then some of the alternatives given.
