I initially bought a M100 for some vlogging/short videos, but was very surprised by the quality of the pictures, even with the kit lens. And yesterday I just discovered it had an builtin intervalometer! I got some very cool shots of a storm and lightning’thanks to it, great little camera!
I'm just a silent viewer here, I always watched your videos, even if i don't own a camera myself, i just love to watch videos like this, i just want u to know that i learned alot about photography by just watching your videos, so keep it up sir, and thanks for your videos, regards from Philippines 👍❤️
I only now stumbled across your video. With everything crazy going on, I've had an unboxed M6-MKII sitting on my shelf for over a year. So after all this time, I've been wondering if it was still a viable camera and if there were any new lenses since I seem to remember that there were only a few available. Needless to say, I'm glad to see I have some good options. I should also mention that it's awesome to have a RU-vid host who doesn't come off as condescending and actually seems like a real and relatable person. So take care and thanks again for the great review.
Truly a great video and you deserve more subs, I really appreciate a heart felt description of each lens characteristics. You channel with swell in time, it will come I am sure.
I watched your last video until the end but I also won a little something a few months back and thought I'd let other win. You're generous and I appreciate everything you do.
Well I appreciate what you do thank you for the education and the awesome chance to win needed equipment take care my friend especially during this crazy time
Haha I always watch to the end! But I was fortunate enough to win the brackets at christmas, so I am patiently waiting my time. Thank you for always being so generous!!
Great video as always! I appreciate how much effort goes into taking all the photos, then organizing them! I purchased the Nanlite Forza60 based on your recommendation so I could shoot videos outdoors in the forest. It is great! I can film for about an hour on batteries - it's opened up my world! I'd like your advice - I am trying to get full body shots with background blur - much like you had in this video. I use the Pan G7 with the 42mm 1.7 but the camera is really far away and I don't get much bokeh. Do you have any recommendations of body and lens combos? Thanks again for all your content! I didn't enter your contest because I'm not in the USA :)
@@MarkusPix Yes, fully open at 1.7, 1/50 shutter, and ND when needed. But I'm trying to get full body, from 2 feet above the head to the feet (about 7 feet in total) in frame with blurry background. Do you think it's necessary to go full frame for this look? What lens/body combo did you use in this video? Thanks for the response!
@@PatrickJaszewski I was obviously one of four, but when you can't win with odds like that....🤷...or maybe I live too far away 🙄😊 So congrats to the winner 🎉
Dude, you are the most real RU-vid person that I watched for a long time. Big fan now. I’m going to watch your past videos and cry for missed opportunities to get free stuff. 😔✌️
On the plus side, your loyal viewers who stay to the end get rewarded :) That's how I look at it, I'd rather have those people win something than people who just click off cause they can't concentrate longer than 20 seconds.
I love this guy. he's like the fu professor that actually makes me want to retain the knowledge even if I have to replay certain points because I just keep getting distracted fiddling with my new camera. as someone switching from film to digital, these videos really do come in handy. stay inspirational brother.
Besides the kit lens, I own the Sigma 16mm & 56mm and the Canon 32mm by now. They are all amazing! I sometimes still am unhappy about having committed to the EF-M system, but it keeps my from buying overpriced stuff.
I won a badass light from you back in December, and I'm happy with my Canon M1 with the adapted vintage lenses I've slowly acquired over the past year. Best of luck to those who submitted their names to the hat!
New to the channel. I picked up the M50 to get away from the 80D and the 7D mk II, I haven’t used either camera since buying the M50. I’m 71 and this little jewel with the native lenses is perfect to carry around and take great photos. I have all the Canon native M lenses except the 32 mm. I love the sigma 56 mm it’s a perfectly sharp lens for portraits. I picked up a canon 10-18 cheap and love it for landscape and structural photos. Basically having a lot of fun with the Canon M 50.
Keep your head up, i think this proves that we are here for you knowledge and not just for your free stuff. you are an incredibly generous person, keep up the great work!
Great channel just found you after getting a EOS M5 and searching for info on lenses, my main rig 5D2 and Im really amazed by this M5 and even the kit lens. Just picked up the dapper and 55-250 STM lens, now looking for a deal on the 22mm EF-M, My question is do you have a preferred brand for ND and CP filter? in regards for use on the EF-M lenses
Wow that 32mm just looks like a fun little lens and it’s sooo sharp. I’m stuck in between wanting to buy a better vlog lens the Sigma 16mm or a better photo and b-roll with the canon 32mm. Ahhh decisions. Thanks for putting this video up. Not a lot of EF-m content out there.
That is crazy about the number of people who got in on your giveaway. I didn't because I have an M50 already and wanted to give others a chance to get a good Canon M mount camera. I've actually seen these results on my channel giveaways too. Yes, I'm no where near your channel subscribers but I digress...lol .. Keep up the awesome videos. I've learned so much from watching your videos and I really appreciate your channel content.
Thanks for the video ! Really helps me. I was thinking I should not buy the EF M lenses because they only work on my M6. Where if I buy the EF lenses I can use on the M6 (with adapter) and other Canon cameras.
Which lens do you think would work best for filming mobile device screens? I do tech tutorials and want to step up to doing actual demos and not just screen recording. Not getting a sharp image with the kit lens or the 22. Oh, using an M50.
I watched your video to the end but not because of the equipment you give away. I have all I need and I can buy whatever I need for my hobby. I watched your video because I like your show. Also, I think that if you want everybody to watch your videos to the end you should decrease their duration by 2/3. People treat RU-vid channels the same as the articles of a newspaper. They have a fast look and move on to the next one. Time is limited.
So, one of my cameras had an accident. I can't afford to buy another R6 right now so I got a M6 MK II but I can only afford the body (I'll get the adapter in order to use the 1 EF lens I have left) and start to shop about the best lenses for this system that I'm new to. And viola!! There's you with a video of what I'm looking for. Never knew you were an M shooter. So, since I'm here. If you could ONLY aford 2 lenses for this system, which ones would you get? FYI, the only EF lens I have left is the 70-200 2.8, a little big for the M6 =(
I use the Efm lenses but live in the uk so cannot enter your giveaway. I have never seen you using vintage lenses any recommendations...... Can you use Nd and polarising filters together never knew that...
Somehow I stumbled on this video because I recently bought my first camera, which is an EOS M. Thank you for showing me all the different lenses. I hope I can find some of the down the road for cheaper since the M line is now discontinued. Regardless of the lens, I hope to get better in my videos and photos. Thanks again
fantastic video as always loads of information and brilliantly high quality. I have been debating going to EF-M for a while now, i recently spoke to the guys over at the Canon live online chat and they filled me in about the m6ii
Ok its two years later but I watched your video to the end. Sorry I missed your giveaway. lol I'm 60 years old and just started becoming a photographer. The video really helped me out on which lens to buy for the ef-m system. Loved the comparison at the end and decided to strive to be a better photographer by skill rather then by equipment. Merry Xmas dude.
please tell me the price of canon m50 with Canon 32mm f/1.4 EF-M and i have herd that if we buy Canon 32mm f/1.4 EF-M the price will be less the actual price is it true ?????? which one is better for portrait photography canon 32 mm 1.4 or canon 50mm 1.8 or sigma 30 mm 1.4???
I was about to say "all those pictures look the same " and for you to confirm that as I was typing I just had to chuckle to myself . This video was great, but it made it really hard for me to pick a lens without me feeling disappointed if I choose the wrong one😂. I’m trying to find the best lens for video something where I can get a crisp image and a nice blurred background. I want to be able to zoom in and out with out loosing quality without being stuck at just 16mm or 22mm. The kit lens is cool and all but it just doesn’t do it from me. Maybe I just don’t understand fully the different or maybe what I’m looking just doesn’t exist in my canon eos m50 maybe should have didn’t a bit more research before I purchased
I love your videos, obviously because you offer the most practical advice without being stuffy or pompous, and always in an entertaining way. I don’t, however, ever get in at the right time to try to win one of your giveaways, which is enormously generous. As optimistic as I am in life, I don’t expect I would ever win one of your giveaways, and so I don’t enter. But rest assured, I always watch to the end.
Hi Marcus! I am a raw foodist and I am a photographer. My photography equipment is Canon eos R and RF lenses. Unrivaled quality, try it! I’ve been your fan for 10 years, and 10 years a raw foodist)
Canon M always on top sale, but canon users like taking photos, they do not talk too much, do not talk about specs too much, so people might think there is no canon M user
Hey!! I just found this channel lol. I use my m50 for all things lol. Just started my channel getting ready for a upload. Good work o your videos you got a sub from me
I watch all your videos and love them all. But I'm from Belgium so no give away. It doesn't matter either, I'm happy to learn from it. keep on doing. Respect
Canon .everybody's, now , are feels happy. With it.( only elderly people 's will wanted to spending all for it ,.... eos used exchange for new m canon....soon.
I can't believe I just came across your video which was great and very useful. I watched until the end!!! I would have won because I love these caneras!!! Darn.
Have you seen the magic lantern software? People are hacking older canons and some of the results are super interesting, something you might be interested in
I watched it to the end too. Not a Canon guy. Panasonic and Nikon for me. I wouldn't use either of the cameras you gave away. I hope someone that really wanted to use them, got them.
Hello man, Just subscribe to the channel. I’m a canon Eos M5 user. Actually I got 2 of them and I’m using them for wedding cinematography. Keep up the good work. Regards, Dimitris Greece
I did watch the entire video, however you already gave me a phantom power little box for a microphone last year so I guess is fair that everybody gets a chance to win. I am a Canon EF shooter :) I actually own the M50 . Thanks for sharing these videos Markus!!
If you were traveling going on a vacation and you had to choose between the sigma 16mm, 11-22mm or the 22mm lens to go with your M50 primarily for pictures which one would you pick ?
if it's a real vacation (ie no fancy photoshoots) and just having fun and traveling light, I would not take the 16 because it's just too big and heavy for walking around all day. Definitely the 22.
