I see why you are suggesting people talk with their doctors. I have outlived 3 of mine so far. Problem is many doctors are stuck on doctrine and don't really look at new studies or anything that disagrees with what they are taught. Now-a-days, people need to take control of their own diabetes AND find doctors who know what they are talking about.

Thank the 1970s-1980s and the scare tactics done against fat and cholesterol by the sugar industry and lobbyists who swindled the government to create a screwed up food pyramid and force their misguided and biased studies on the minds of the public. The last 10 years have basically shown what everyone pre-1960 knew: fat is good for you, cholesterol is not deadly (lifestyle is), your dietary cholesterol has minimal effect on your total cholesterol and sugar is bad.
Triglycerides serum level is far more suspect for cardiovascular disease. Hydrogenated fat in any amount, and high fructose corn syrup above 30 grams daily, and highly refined grains in excess of 100grams per day, are major culprits for modern diseases.
I would appreciate your your thoughts on the following; I went on a nutrition course about 15 years ago, and I know our understanding of nutrition is improving all the time, so things may have changed. On the course we were taught that most blood cholesterol is manufactured in the liver and not directly related to what we eat. I asked about eggs, and the lecturer rated them as a good food, full of essential protein, B vitamins and healthy fats - is this still right?
I'm a truck driver with type 2diabetes and looking for products I can eat while out on the road that won't spike my blood sugar levels, any suggestions.
I usually eat from 2 to 4 eggs per day. Just had my blood work done, and my Doc. told me my cholesterol was good. I've been trying to keep it to two eggs a day, but---well they sure are good.
SAME! Literally two weeks ago got my first bloodwork done in about 3 years and my doctor's commented that my labs 'looked great!" Two eggs a day speaks for itself, my skin and hair appreciate the effects.
How long have you been eating 2 to 4 eggs? My ldl is a tad high & I wanted to start eating eggs...but wonder if I should wait until my ldl is back in normal range
I think it would be helpful for many of us to get an understanding of cholesterol metabolism, including how dietary cholesterol results in serum cholesterol. In the past it was believed that it was impossible for the molecules to pass directly into the bloodstream.

@@SugarMDs Well one good thing your video did, is I went for blood work this afternoon! My cholesterol is pretty good. RBS totally sucked though :( Good that I GOT THAT SORTED OUT.
I do keto for almost 1 1/2 month my cholesterol is 213 even I have statin of 40mg. Will change my diet and add fruits to my diet and minus dirty keto like processed foods. I have diabetes. I did not skip the ads 😊
What about the study that suggested eggs increase the risk of diabetes by 60%? I believe there may be more than one study on this. Is that just a flawed study? Bad sampling or control group problems? It is possible that the people chosen for the study who ate eggs regularly and ended up with diabetes may have had other habits that actually caused the diabetes. But I don't know for sure. How does the medical research community view this study (which was recent)?
I always enjoy your videos. I just turn on radomly n always get such good info n encouragement🤗 .eggs are good. Everyday I eat one half boiled kampung (village, not farm raised) egg. As a base in my bowl I have some coconut oil mixed with bit of turmeric, pepper n cinnamon n 1 tablespoon of nutritional yeast n then top these with my half boiled egg. I have plain black coffee with sprinkle of cinnamon. This will l last me till mid morning when I have a slice papaya. I am diabetic but on very low carb diet. I will try to do your intermittent fasting ( I saw your video , so clear explanation) soon .THANKS again Doc you are always so cheerful to watch. GOD BLESS
What if I eat 2 eggs with 2 slices of sprouted rye bread , I’m not diabetic but my cholesterol is high but do you advice. I’m trying to have low carb diet.
We all have an average of 75-85 years of life-expectancy - so go ahead, challenge the odds and eat those 4 eggs a day. You may earn a few more years or it may all just end tomorrow. Not worth it professing the health benefits of eggs.
I hate eggs, they make me get hives, and become nauseous . The sulfur smell is gross. I found out by a blood test that I am very allergic to egg whites. I'm healthy without them.
This did not age really well. Check the study of the University of Australia about eggs and diabetes. Seems eggs raise the risk to get diabetes, and if you have it your risk to get serious diseases is way higher.
I liked how you said at 4:21 that cereal or a bagel for breakfast "... will make your blood sugar go to the sky like a ROCKET!". I don't want to be on that rocket. :)
Hi Dr Ahmet, I'm "Pre-Diabetic" and am eating HighFat/LowCarb with restricted timeframe eating. Every dietary dietary change I have made to LOWER Blood Sugar and Insulin level seems to RAISE my APO-b currently 134. (particle count) Do you think that is a problem...??? Thank you.
I have always believed the yoke has equal amounts of cholesterol and lecithin thus the lecithin cancellsout the choleterol. The albumin has seven times lecithin than the yoke so the cholesterol is totally cancelled out from any harm...
I love eggs🤟🤟🥚 I love eating boiled eggs I love making omelettes all different ways I don't call it what I'm on a diet because anytime I call something a diet it always fails for me
I also have heart disease, and I am having one heck of a Time trying to make both of these diets match up. Do you have a nutritionist that you can point me to in the right direction that can deal with a bad heart and diabetes as well. I'm on my third pacemaker and still work 6 days a week. So I'm no slouch. I'm just fat and hungry, but I'm honest. And I am a pepsiaholic. And that's no joke. At my worst I did five 2 liters a Day of Pepsi and was ready for more. Can you help a girl out
Yes!!!! Cutting on carbs, eating more vegetables can reverse cardiovascular issues, references from Dr. Eric BERG and Dr. Stern Ekberg....The China Study too mentions about vegetable diet playing a greater role in negating cardiovascular issues. Please check and use relevant information.
Both Coke and Pepsi are devastating people around the world especially in Latin America. Killing them. These companies should be taken to task for what the do. Rebecca get off the cola. Please. I was drinking two litres of Diet Pepsi a day and it adversely affected my heart. Too much caffeine caused atrial fib and the sweetener helped cause type two diabetes. My atrial fib is under control with beta blockers but the type 2 diabetes is here to stay and finding food to eat without driving up my sugar has been tough. I am with you in spirit.
I have been diabetic for a few years now. I have been eating 3 eggs a day for years now and my doctor just checked my blood and my lipids were excellent.
Humans and our ancestors have been eating eggs for millions of years and we never had diabetes, or at least extremely rare. It can't be the eggs causing it. The key is to not eat processed foods, too much sugar and vegetable oils. This is true for everybody.
The eggs do not cause diabetes. They only have less than 1 carb. The eating habits we have adopted in the last more or less 4-5 decades, the decreased mobility, stress is causing diabetes. However, we need to accept responsibility for our behavior and weak control. All foods will raise glucose to a certain level; however, fats and protein are not much with fats the least not very significant. The liver can make glucose. Carbohydrates aka sugars are the ones that when consumed indiscriminately in large amounts cause the highest spikes and can eventually lead us to diabetes. Read your labels, avoid large amounts of carbs and sugars products; even the so-called healthy carbs can cause very large spikes in some people. We do not process and metabolize the same even diabetics may differ. Get a glucometer and see what foods affect you the most and minimize their consumption if you cannot completely avoid it.

merhaba, I am so glad I found your channel I am struggling with my type 2 diabetes,I don't want to go on meds! I have been feeling defeated fighting the suga monster! then I found your channel, I am hopeful watching your videos will help me, thank you so much for sharing
I’m pre diabetic. I eat right and my sugars are always 100-122 range. My blood A1C is always 4.6-4.8. Even when my pre-diabetic fasting blood test was 139. A1C was 4.7 So my doctor looked back at my blood tests for 7 years back. A1C was 4.6 and he talked with other doctors about it. So the consensus is … My doctor jokingly said “your weird”. Mystery.
I'm a diabetic, my FBS was 345, then i change my diet and i regularly exercise 6x a week, i eat 2 eggs for breakfast, usual filipino lunch and dinner, and 2 eggs for afternoon snacks and 3 eggs for midnight snack, my FBS and cholesterol improves a lot, now my FBS is 150 and my cholesterol levels are normal including triglyceride etc.
Hello doctor! Talking from Mauritius!! Thank you for your vidéos!! Do you have remedies for variscose and blood circulation together with weight loss...?
Thank You thank you! My diet controlled diabetic hubby has no other heath problems except a high psa. No cholesterol no bp issues, his doctor is amazed how healthy he is for 69.♡♡
If you are watching your cholesterol is it ok to eat eggs? Help mines not over high, but I'm keeping a eye on it and don't want to get off of control. I always have heard eggs was high in cholesterol for years. Please ease my mind with a answer. Thanks
I do not eat breakfast most of the time bc I generally eat one meal a day @ dinner. I also eat mostly alkaline foods. However, I go through of episodes where my body craves 🥚 and 🧀. I have been trying to figure that one out.
Thank you doc..does it make a difference which eggs we buy..is pasture raised organic the best or any will do? My cholesterol is 220 ..should I stop eating my 2 eggs a day?
Stop eating processed carbs and your cholesterol will benefit more than stop eating eggs, but if your cholesterol is still high after low carb diet yes you may need to lower your eggs too
@@SugarMDs thank you for replying..I don't eat processed carbs at all .I do intermittent fasting and eat more veges..less meat and chicken...so the only thing I can see my cholesterol go up high is eggs, but would had to stop eating it altogether...!!😔 SAD
And the sad part is I went to the doctor she said you got diabetes didn't say anything about diabetes just let's put you on is metformin about six months later she said you need that. Metformin then she said you need insulin and I refused insulin I went on berberine and feeling a lot better now I'm weaning off metformin
Sorry, I am late for the dance. In your opening, you showed a chick coming out of an egg. This is a criticism. You need sperm and an egg to make a chick. Most egg producers do not have Roosters with the Hens, thus no sperm. No sperm doc, no chick, right? Many people would not eat a fertile egg. Most eggs are candled for a variety of reasons and 1 is to show the egg does not have an embryo. Just some fun Animal Husbandry facts for today. Otherwise, thank you for the information. I had 2 scrammed eggs this morning.

3 eggs a day average for me. Low carbs, 18 or so gms of protein and fats and in my case 2 slices of wheat toast as in my case I feel I need some carbs. Low carb diets such as keto does not work well for me. Without some carbs, even with me being hyperglycemic drags me down to no energy and fatigue to the point my day is done, there is no recovering and do it all over again the next day. I actually get a very strange nausea and sick feeling with keto or lack of some carbs to try to maintain weight and energy. Eggs do work well in the mornings for me and leaves me with at least 50 grahams of carbs to utilize for the rest of the day. Yes, I have high sugar levels and have for 10 years struggled with 8 to 13.7 a1c's, yet it never changes even when I tried a keto diet plan. Pretty sure eggs are not the problem.
My average is 122 and when I spike it's 150 to 160 is that a high spike? And I love eggs even raise my own thanks for the info because I said I'm not giving up my eggs.🤗🤗🤗🤗
@@SugarMDs I try to eat low-carb i.e. 65 g total carbs and I try to eat a lot of high fiber foods. Today I had 70 g total carbs , 37net carbs. Is that low carb enough do I need to be below 50 grams total. I should add my HbA1c is 5.4%
I hate eggs. The texture and smell are disgusting to me. However I do eat products cooked with eggs so as long as I don’t see or if it’s seriously mixed into something else I won’t be able to eat it as is
Read somewhere that the eggs don't differ much in the nutrient content....please check, also I am sure that one's body makes more than 700mg cholesterol, the dietary cholesterol makes the liver produce less cholesterol....please check...
@mariacantug4650, correct! Boiled eggs make a healthier option as it requires no oil or butter, thus lesser calories. Keep your portion in control. Good job! Stay healthy!
