Awesome! :D The original's MIDI quality made it sound really shitty and although it was still really creepy, I never liked playing the level this played on just because of the music. Your version is perfect though. Nice little mysterious start, and the main guitar hits and the track transforms into a proper, pounding metal track. The main bit doesn't feel disjointed from the intro though, and sounds very fluent throughout. Meanwhile there's just enough echo and guitar zing going on that it still sounds mysterious and creepy. And underlaying it all is that beautiful full bassy background track that follows you throughout it all. It's delicious, so full and thick you almost feel like you're swimming in it, without being overpoweringly loud; just really really full and symphonic. Just the way it should be ^^ . Well done dude, great job! :)
I like the rhythm riffs you added in the middle of the song. Gives it way more substance than the original. Keep those videos coming! There are still a few doom songs left!
Thank you for doing this, bro. To me, this track is Doom. Staring at the Spider while installing the game with this playing in the background...it will always be engraved into me. My favorite track in the whole game. Looking forward to the next one.
On the brutal doom metal pack vol. 4 this song is done in a black metal way. That is also fukkin grinds. If the sounding of your style would meet that black metalish drums and bass, that would be total destruction
@@elguitarTom I totally disagree, you can its simple as abc all you need to do is reprogramm the drums maybe. Well it is up to you if you might happen to remake it. Its not an issue its a challange
lawl, this is my picture xD Sounds really good, I thought to call this version the best, but I remember my own...it was like ambient music, hard to make a comparison
doom 4 failed miserably on the music. sounds way too dubstep-ish. the fucking music is what defined almost half of the doom experience, it put you in that epic mood of fighting the ultimate evil against odds.
Idk why all the reboots of modern games decided to bastardize all of their iconic soundtracks. Battlefield is a prime example, try comparing the Bf 1942 theme to the BF4 theme "song".
I thought so at first. But then I actually played the game, and realised that the music fits in perfectly with the game's action. I'm looking forward to hearing what will happen with Doom Eternal's soundtrack. Metal choir? Sounds awesome.
