Awesome vid as always. Glad to see it back together. Have you tested it out to see if it’s pushing any coolant yet? Did you also install the oil cooler?
I will do the cooler next. Cannot drive it until the salt is washed away. I'm confident it will be better. These studs felt rock solid after 75 ft. Lbs. The clamping force is huge compared to factory studs.
Great content. Have you had any head gasket/lifting issues now that it's been a while with the oversized studs? Also will this length stud work with d16z6 ? Thanks !
The timing lifted the head. I backed off on it, and has been running good ever since. There is a timing map on my next video, that shows what I did. I don't think this set will work on a Z6. There is like one stud a different length. You could call ARP, and see what they say.
@@RustBeltAuto By the way, what should I look out for when buying an 8th gen Civic Si? I'm going to be buying one within the year. I have the chance to buy one on the cheap but I'm not really sure it's a good idea to go buy one without being too knowledgeable about their common issues. I'm from the land of Rice so I imagine they've all been beat on to some degree.
@@xXEvangelXx I have a 2010. Bought it with 15 miles on it, without a test drive. Has just over 80k miles on it. Drive it hard, and other then intermittent bushing noises, I have not done a thing to it. Some say they can have shifting problems, with worn 2nd, 3rd gear syncro's, because people dont know how to drive. Other then that, I don't know. This is the most reliable car I have owned.
