You can tell that Marvin Gaye was his mentor when you listen to this song and the entire album. El even revealed that he wrote , All This Love, for Marvin but Motown wouldn't let him record it. We missed out. We love both Marvin and El.
Gawd, this drives me crazy! Killer song and arrangement... Maurice White and El are fire together! And this performance! The way he bites and licks his lips, then loosens his tie and sings, “awwweee girl”🔥🥵 smokin’ baby!
I only need this chance. I ThankYou The ALMIGHTY For helping me with my new life ThankYou For giving me This opportunity to live a new Life with you. Today Tomorrow And Always. And FOREVERMORE MMM
I added In The Storm to my El Debarge collection because of this performance. Mr. El was channeling aspects Marvin Gaye's I Want You album in with this one but I must say that I LOVE this song on its own. His own style is already incredible but the ways he is able to occasionally pay homage to other great artists (Bobby Debarge, Marvin Gaye) while still maintaining that El "touch" in his writing, music and vocals is why this man is a living legend. Bless him.
El Debarge has a voice that can only be described as God given. It’s a gift and God willing he will remain healthy and happy to continue to share it with us. It saddens me that he is yet to fulfil his full potential but where there is life the possibilities are boundless. Is that a healthy looking Randy Debarge in the backing singers?
Yes, exactly! El has a God-given talent and I'm so grateful that he still shares that with us. He's such an amazing, legendary artist! He has that suave, smooth style of his and when he has the mic, he owns it! And yes, that is Randy in the background looking like Bobby ❤😊
Just looking at this young El brings back so many memories of El Debarge, DeBarge and Switch. These were good old days. El was so cute and fine then and now. God bless him in his continued sobriety and in his musical career. Much love and prayers up for you El and DeBarge family🙏🏼💜
I believe that when it's time we all receive our due blessings. Thank you GOD for allowing me to be alive to witness this truly blessed man receive his. Congratulations sir.
That's his second wife Tracey (at that time) behind him singing background with Randy.Kyndall look just like her.Cant nobody eva say El cant sang hunny Randy can sing too.
A definite Marvin Gaye influence. In later interviews he revealed Gaye was his favorite artist. In the Storm album was his best. El should be honored in an award show for his amazing talent.
Yes.......I think he blows alot our minds. He's sooooo young here. He just turned 60 yrs, what a talent God has bestowed on him! Much Love always to Mr. Eldra Debarge!!
