Overall impressions after 6+ months of usage? Been back in stock on Amazon and I'm looking to get something under $200 and this looks perfect. Pairing with KEF Q150s and Loxjie A30 desktop amp for my office setup.
It sounds great. Works very well with my Mirage Nanosats. Unfortunately though I may have received one of the last ones on the planet as it's no longer on Amazon which is a pity. (Listed as currently unavailable.) The listing went from 12 in stock, to 4 to more coming October 27th to more coming October 30th and then it vanished so who knows. It's still up on the Elac website. www.elac.com/series/powered-subwoofers/sub1010-10-powered-subwoofer/ Ebay has it listed for $185. For me it's perfect. I only need a small sub for my listening area which is a loft office/studio. In my living room I use a Mirage MM6 which has 800 watts of dynamic power (200w RMS.) I would have looked for another one of those and used a high level/line level adapter. Of course you could always drop $500 on a Velodyne but I was looking to stay under $200.
I looks like ELAC isn't shipping out any more of these but it's still listed in their catalog so maybe you could order one from a dealer. I doubt though that a small time dealer would discount it to $130.
Mines arrived a few days ago and yes they are still available on Amazon payed $119 a steal have it with Onkyo A 9150 and a pair of Klipsch RP 600,s for my Apartment and the sound is amazing how the hell can a person spend $119 on a subwoofer and be happy don't hesitate buy it.
I have a Yamaha RX-V385 with one rca pre out for subwoofer. It does not have a subwoofer out for right and left. How would I connect this sub to my reciever? Thank you.
I'm using mine in a very small space and the volume is turned way down. I can see the amplifier getting warm, hot even if over driven. Try positioning the sub in a location that enhances the output. If that doesn't work you may need a second one which would allow you to use the sub at a lower volume.
