I've been looking for this kind of in-depth anatomy lesson my whole life! Thank you so much for teaching these lessons playfully, with enthusiasm, repetition, and clarity!!! You're a dream come true out here!
“The way to study anatomy is to get in the lab...” true, but your videos are still a god send during covid-19 when uni’s are closed but we still have to learn...
Uni labs closed here too - studying anatomy online is an absolute nightmare - especially when I'm a kinaesthetic learner! Your videos are super helpful.
Omg, I love your content so much. I’m a striker, and this helps me understand why I have clicking when I throw my straight right and gives me a better idea on what to do to take care of that issue. Thank you so much, sir 🙏🏽
This is my first video of yours to watch and I have to say, I love your teaching style. Your accent and choice of descriptions are awesome ..."bony bits" 😄. Look forward to watching more!
your videos have helped with the anatomy in my artwork. i may not be able to retain all the Latin, but the form and function is understood. thank you for the explanations!
"..you don't do it like that do you, that's too hard...." and your facial expressions. Hahaha! I love it. I'm sharing you with my whole class. I wish you were here years ago.
After dislocating my elbow I’ve become quite fascinated with the anatomy of the body and how muscles and joints play their roles, these videos are amazing
I may not be truly studying anatomy with you, but your videos help me understand my injuries and ask questions of my surgeons. In the last year I have had the shoulder repaired, 5 anchors & long head biceps tenodesis, to go along with L4&5, S1 fusion. So please keep making videos, they help the health care students and us everyday lay people. Cheers!
Shattered my elbow recently. The ball of the Humerus was in several pieces and has been screwed back together. I came here to try to understand what I need to do to recover the motion and muscle and what I am actually working on. Can't say thank you enough from just across the bay from Swansea.
I am a medical student and in our univ like our teacher never allow us to go into the lab and see things So your videos really helped me to understand Anatomy. You can not imagine how grateful I am really thank you!
Right now I´m taking my first ever english class and studying medicine it could be difficult due to that I have to learn in two languages, you just save my life, keep doing videos of musculoskeletal system
Love your explanation. Also love the accent and whit. Just adorable. I like this background and lighting. Helps the anatomy model stand out. Thank you for sharing.
Awesome video, really busy and tired with all my studying yet here I am 9pm on a Monday and you have managed to keep me interested and even perked me up for half an hour when all I wanted to do was no studying and go to bed. So thank you and keep up the good work.
This is very helpful for me to understand this elbow joint..I broke my radial head 3 months ago. Physical therapy going well...just slow to get range of motion and strength back!
Recently had a motorcycle accident and think my distal biceps tendon is slightly torn as you can clearly see the tendon rise out of the skin quite a bit and the bicep appears to be 'loose'. Aches and hurts quite a bit too. Gonna go see some muscular skeletal experts next week to find out but it's nice to see how it all works. Gives me a bit more info to ask slightly more informed questions haha Also no one told me Richard Hammond did anatomy on the side? :D for real thank you for this, awesome to see how it all works. Subscribed and liked 👌
I view U every morning at breakfast. You put what I am learning into a better perspective and help terminology come together in my mind and sinks into my memory!! Whoot whoot!!
What are odds of such complexity in design have happened randomly over some 100 billion years or so. Now that we have powerful computer clusters to simulate how such phenomena can come into being by selection etc, are there any information theorists, mathematicians, evolutionists who may shade some light on this?
I love the clear way you explain things, I've had the ulna head removed would love to know what happens, if and when one needs a whole elbow replacement.
Very knowledgeable and a very nice presentation although your humour might be somewhat of an acquired taste, or perhaps forced upon for the poor students imprisoned in your lab or lecture hall, but I have subscribed nonetheless. I wish we had your wonderful teaching aids and easy to follow explanations (minus the “humerus” bone in your arm lecture) 50 years ago when I was a student.
Page 110 biceps = n, pl biceps. Anat. any muscle having two heads or origins, esp. the muscle that flexes the forearm. [C17: from L, from BI- + caput head]
I LOVE anatomy, I am sich a nerd! lol I was wanting a good anatomy deep dive of the upper arm etc. I cant wait to show this video to some like minded friends. THANKS!
A good way to remember clavicle and scapula is to picture Dracula in his long cape playing a clavichord pianno. Dracula's cape = scapula Clavichord = clavicle
Splendid Presentation, this series especially, your demonstrations are explicit. You led by example more than usual more , I find this way to be more helpful. Thank You...
Pretty ture I have a partial tear of my brachialis tendon/distal bicep tendon, could you tell me how I can tell which one? Felt a pop in my elbow with a tear years ago, then again just a pop last week while training for armwrestling. Hurts most when hand is pronated/supinated - neutral flexion with resistance hurts. Holding a phone cramps after a while, sometimes just picking something up hurts, like shopping... it sucks balls. :( Any tips would be very handy 💪 Great video btw!
Hi, Ive just watched and enjoyed your video on the arm muscles. Ive been suffering for years with Medial Epicondylitis. Do you have any advice regarding helping this to heal - and why will it not heal by itself? Thanking you if you have the time or inclination to reply.
Broke Olecronon in bike accident 29 th NOV A&&E, fainted surgery pins and k wire which are causing me alot of inflammation aching can't sleep well, can't wait for them to be taken out , emailed surgery team , but I guess the fear of dislocation is real how long must this go on ? ughh REHAB help please !
I would argue that all strenght is functional. If you get a strong benchpress then it’s easier to push yourself out of a chair because the triceps get stronger with the bench aswell. Just like squats, rowing and pulldown all helps with climbing. So I honestly don’t like the term "functional training" cause all strenghtening movements are functional in a way.
Your lecture on the muscles anatomy of the hand, wrist, arms and shoulder helps me to understand how the muscle are connected to each other, as a result I am able to apply accrue pressure to massage the inflamed area, for a guitarist , squash player we are most likely to develop inflammation on these joints. Thank you very much.😊❤
I teach retirees to keep fit through movement. We talk about muscle heads, fascia, tendons and ligament=nts. I am not a medical person, so sometimes I fudge a bit. Now I can do less fudging and more factual talk. Bless you, and you obviously love teaching.
